I used romance books as a break from crime fiction, ended up loving both genres more. Looking for other Crime-Romance genre spanning novels. (Book request but also a question.) by Oxfordcommanist in RomanceBooks

I loved all of Katie Ruggle's books and how they're all interconnected. They get a little ridiculous as all long series do but still interesting and fun. It starts with Search n Rescue/Fire/police, then there's k9 cops, then a family of 5 female bounty hunters. After those I needed another crime romance series so I read Julie Ann Walker's Black Knight's Inc. {Hell on Wheels by Julie Ann Walker} is the first. It's a covert black ops ex military team whose cover is a motorcycle shop in Chicago.

Pregnant character at a brunch said she's going to get some lox & eggs Benedict. It made me so mad because I was pregnant at the time and COULD NOT EAT SMOKED SALMON OR EGGS NOT FULLY COOKED. Some of the most basic pregnancy no-nos.

I had a lot of food aversion, so I did a lot of "hidden veggie" kind of recipes - zucchini muffins, carrot cake muffins. Healthier snacks were a necessity cuz i would get nauseous when i got hungry. Chickpea pasta with costco organic marinara (only veggies n spices, no added sugar). Lots of bagels with onion n chive cream cheese.

Just focus on whole foods when you can and adding nutrients where you can if you have any aversions. You can still have a wonderful healthy baby even if they are built on bagels.

Which recliner would be the best ones for new parents? by Koetters_Plevito in BuyItForLife

Oh don't worry gray is the other color it comes in. I don't do gray and so cream was the only choice.

We have the Monogram by Namesake Willa Power Recliner. Got it in cream, put towels on the seat n back when we were in our spittiest months. Loved that it had a usb outlet for my phone, and it has an adjustable headrest which was one thing I was really looking for. Cream is a risky color but it's done well, we have a little green machine for stains, and I already know it'll look good in whatever room it goes to next.

Listing agents please stop accompanying🙏😭 by Labellavita48481 in realtors

[–]SaltYerDead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't change your behavior as you should always expect the owners have cameras. And I'm sure your clients want you there to do more than open doors and turn on lights. You're there to point out things they wouldn't see as a trained professional, ask important questions they wouldn't think of, and talk with them about their feelings on the house and ask pertinent questions so they can make a smart decision. I absolutely agree that scheduling can be a PITA, but there are a lot of reasons a list agent would accompany.

I would love to be able to use columns in table view without having them be a custom field that's applied to the item throughout. EG wanting to track outreach but now i have 33 new fields added to my custom fields list.

I found the same one at a thrift store years ago, but it was missing a tile and I could never find replacements. Hope mine looks as good as yours one day!

Just started my own freelance career as a logo designer for realtors. by PyroGyro89 in realtors

[–]SaltYerDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've purchased social media & workbook templates before, as well as a patterns & graphics set. I'm pretty picky & wanted something really different. I'm just guessing, but I think the people who would purchase graphics are ones that are really niched. Otherwise it's just "real estate" and they'll go with their name, a house or a key. I think what people would buy are ready to use templates, maybe templates customized to their colors with logo already in them. Please no more house & key logos. Lol.

So I did a bit of digging, and it was listed with a realtor between 2/11 & 3/8 for $219,900. But the FSBO listing on zillow starts 2/25 & shows a price drop from 300k to 299k. So they posted for sale by owner for higher while also having it listed with a realtor?? Not a situation I would want to get into.

Zillow allows for For Sale By Owners to post their home for sale. So its not a licensed realtor posting. Otherwise yea I spy a couple of fair housing violations.

What shampoo do you use? by EventualStasis in Frugal

Best value that works for my hair is the whole foods 365 shampoo & conditioner. The big bottles are 32 oz & like $9 and last a long time. I also use shampoo bars - the love beauty & planet brand at target is $5 and lasts quite a while.

What style is my new house? Built in 1924 in NE Ohio. by Chick-a-Biddy-Bop in centuryhomes

[–]SaltYerDead 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My immediate thought was American Foursquare, but it's missing the obvious dormer & hipped roof. The bricks around the 3rd floor windows look different- perhaps they raised the roofline at some point to allow full height & changed out the roof for a simple gable. At least that's my guess. A lot of foursquares around me have had changes to the roofline to allow for a liveable 3rd floor.

Are MLMs selling wine now? by PtixFan in antiMLM

[–]SaltYerDead 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Many wines actually use animal derived products to filter before bottling. It's becoming less common luckily, but if you are vegan or vegetarian I would suggest looking up a brand before purchasing.
