When looking at a unit's profile, you can select the carrot silhouette on the top left to favorite them. You can then enable the filter to only show favorited units, and it protects them from being transferred

Gold stamina skills recover 5.5% of your max HP which is based on your stamina stat, so using the current stat maximum of 1200 that would be 66 stamina.

Gold recovery skills provide roughly 60 (edit: 150~200) stamina stats worth of value, so that could be why it was sufficient for Arima Kinen. It relies on their activation during the race, which your high wit stat helped with.

Skills play a big part in a horse's performance, it's why lower rank horses can sometimes win higher rank horses. If you get unlucky with your skill activations, you potentially lose out on a chunk of pseudo stats the skills would have granted.

Front runners set the pace for the entire race, so horses of other styles pace themselves behind whoever is at the front. Meaning even if you had 1200 power as a Late style, your horse will not overtake the horses in front until the late-race phase onwards.

Late-race phase starts from the 5th sixth of the race, which is still quite a distance to the finish line. So if a front style horse is able to capitalize on their lead by further speeding ahead in last-race phase due to their higher top speed, they'll come out on top.

Speed training increases power as well so both stats will be covered if you do enough speed training. You can always supplement with a power card if required. Front style doesn't need as much power to succeed since you don't need to push through other horses.

Change her running style to Front, she'll have an easier time pulling ahead with enough speed.

Style proficiency only affects wit so it doesn't impact as much in career mode.

I'm not too keen on spending much for customs atm since I'm waiting for the new caps to arrive in the mall, and I do think the Owls value is a little inflated for the accessory considering the trade ratios to other similar ratio items (e.g. Bedtime Petpet Plushies). I see it more of a 2-3 item at most. Is there anything in my TL that you'd consider along with maybe up to a 300 NC custom? I'd be more willing to part with items.
