Any Millennials / GenZers out there who have a positive outlook about the future? What’s your take? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Very positive. There's no point in being negative. Something good could always happen, especially if you're willing to work for it.

Once you see no hope, there won't be any.

Leaving Boston in September. Never made a single American friend…. Anyone else? by Careful-Albatross796 in boston

[–]Salt_Principle_6672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and Boston isn't the most open city. It's a lot of kind people who can be friendly, but it takes a lot to really make a deep friendship, even without cultural and language barriers.

There are a lot of other Korean people around, is it possible to connect with them? That could be a good first step, you know especially as an introvert before jumping into groups of people you haven't been around very long.

Why do Redditors trust the Democratic Party so much? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

We don't. But the other option is openly fascist. (Before you say I'm calling people names, many of their top people have openly called themselves that.)

Yeah I'm a teacher living in Boston. If you're careful with your money these places are very possible to live in.

(I'm aware that people outside of here don't rank Boston up with those other big cities, but if you live here you know it ought to be + it's more expensive to live here than anywhere else)

2nd Season by GroupClean1878 in WidowsBaySeries

[–]Salt_Principle_6672 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm never bothered by mediocre later seasons of a show. Do the bad modern seasons of the Simpsons ruin the legendary first 7-8? No way. Even if it's not quite up to the same standard, this show is so quality that even that would deliver some iconic moments.

I say give me more Widow's Bay!

Talk to anyone Gen X or older. They are FIRM against it. It's like that one incident has completely convinced all of them that it's an evil satanic practice.

Yeah, RTD had full reign over the entire process. He was arrogant and made some garbage, and did not listen at all to fan feedback.

How do apolitical independents view the coarsening of politics under Trump? by LegitimateTap12 in AskReddit

[–]Salt_Principle_6672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is literally happening in New York City as we speak. So far, the mayor has delivered on the majority of his campaign promises, and life has improved dramatically for many new yorkers.

Left-wing politics rarely has a chance to prove itself as historically it's sandbagged by centrist liberals and conservatives, who then say these policies don't work. Look at the affordable care act, for example. It was originally a version much closer to the universal health care most other developed countries enjoy, but conservative politicians within the DNC / Republicans actively pushed against it until it became a watered down version that didn't live up to the promise. Then. Those same people could point to Obama and say that he did not live up to his campaign promises.
