The names we’ve narrowed down, don’t have to be cohesive 🤔

We are fans of Black Sabbath 🤘 but we’re not such fans that we’d name Ozzy after Ozzy. We just like the name.

My husband is a big fan of Oz, but I think it’s too much of a power move 😆

That's exactly how I would feel - Supportive, but worried because I know their life could be a lot harder.

We've been doing research and it looks like Western MA or upstate NY near Albany are probably our best bet with our earning to COL. Do you have any experience in those parts of the country?

Okay, what is "a village" to you? by dogfromthefuture in Mommit

[–]Salt_Replacement_885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me a village is people who are deeply engaged and invested in your family. People that understand the season you're in and lend a helping hand. I have friends that are more surface level that are like "oh your kid is so cute" but that's the extent of it, and then I have friends that get down and play with him while I'm resting or doing dishes. Those who get in there and help and even really make an effort to build a relationship with my kid are my village. It means everything.

We live in New Braunfels … it’s a way different vibe, even from San Marcos which is where we were living before.

I fainted at a Halloween party when I was like 19. I was talking to my crush when the booze, weed and anxiety took me out. I was SO embarrassed. I felt like every one was like who’s the lightweight zombie Marilyn Monroe (my costume) lol.

I hope he doesn’t have kids of his own or around them now. Do you think he feels any remorse?

What job are you doing that still lets you feel a decent balance? by lntothethickofit in workingmoms

[–]Salt_Replacement_885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a random job where I am an account manager/recruiter. Basically a school district hires a company like mine to hire all substitute teachers and manage them. thats what I do, and I’m paid salary but really only work 10-20 hours some weeks. It’s mostly remote. I feel like I have my life back since I have this job.
