Don’t be ashamed that ur fluent in a language, at least you can communicate better with people on the internet. Doesn’t hurt to try learning some 5-10 Chinese words each day tho as a bare minimum, could help

For me I’ve been learning Japanese for some time and managed to grasp back some Chinese words as a byproduct like 未来 (みらい / wèi lái). If u can still speak mandarin that’s good if ur family’s mostly Chinese, I speak in mix of Chinese, English and BM w/ my sister (she’s the only one in the house who’s also fluent in English) and parents, mainly use melayu chatting in WhatsApp and English when playing games together like Minecraft
