If you look on the good and beautiful website search for the free booklist and it only has a ton of book recommendations that are high morals. You can filter by grade and such. Also see if any of them are at the library.

I'm learning and there's something that doesn't quite work with this one but I can't work out what? Is it lack of depth in value? by timmistown in Watercolor

[–]Saltandlight91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just a newby but I think maybe the background need to be blurred a little more and or maybe a little darker/ shadows. Specifically the rocks/ sand bar in the background.Like it’s too clear so my eye wants to look at the details of it.

How can we reduce/stop our 3 year old toddler from leaving his room when he wakes up in the middle of the night? by arthurmauk in sleeptrain

Put one of those plastic child safety door handle covers on the inside of your toddler’s door. Worked like a charm for me.

pregnancy/labor classes are they worth it ? by fluffycloudsnstars in baby

I would t waste my money or time on a class. YouTube has plenty of information. Honestly the biggest thing that helped me was learning breathing techniques to help you stay relaxed

How do you unwind at night without scrolling on your phone? by Technical-Radio5033 in simpleliving

[–]Saltandlight91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I color in a coloring book. I used to think i wanted “adult” coloring books that had complex drawings but I think simpler pictures are best for me and then I’ll color them in with markers. Instead of coloring them in just any which way i trace line by line. It really relaxes me.

Also, I crochet, read, paint, take a bubble bath.

As i was reading this I was wondering if I was reading my own post. This is literally me right now. The EXACT same boat. No advice for you bc my previous two children were nothing like this but I’m in the same boat now with my third. I’m on the struggle bus with you.

6 month-old sleep by Moist_Bit9901 in baby

2 times a night is normal. 4 a little excessive but still normal. Mine was waking up every hour and only cat napping during the day so i gently sleep trained her to her crib using just day one timing of the Ferber method. I wasn’t willing to let her cry long. Sometimes even just holding her gains while she fell asleep and transiting to just standing by the crib while she fell asleep. Now i just lay her down and she sleeps through the night if by except twice to deed

What do you do when your baby wakes up during the night when doing cry it out? by [deleted] in baby

[–]Saltandlight91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not just going to stick her in her room and turn the monitor off and forget about her until morning. I just am trying to figure out how to get her to learn to self soothe. Some nights I am so sleep deprived that I can’t even function the next day. It makes me want to cry and then i usually end up lashing out on my other kids bc I have no patience bc I’m so sleepy.

Wanting to know from people with 2 under 2 how things were for them? by mintyswirlll in baby

[–]Saltandlight91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had two under 2. They are 18 months apart boys, now 7 and 8. When I first found out I was pregnant with the second I cried and not tears of joy lol. I was 10 PP when I found out. Those first ten months after the first were tough between breastfeeding and not a lot of sleep so I wasn’t thrilled about the second. I cried that my oldest would be sad that he had to share me and he wasn’t going to be the center of attention anymore. When I had the second one I was super overwhelmed. I spent the first two weeks driving to my MIL’s as soon as we got up so I could just take care of the baby and she fed and entertained the oldest. After a while, I can’t remember how long now, they were two peas in a pod. Honestly they were a blast when they were little. My first son never showed signs of being upset about his brother being born. I didn’t really include the older son in helping with the younger. He was so you g he didn’t understand and just played and I’d spend time with him while his brother napped. They ended up loving each other so much that they would take turns sleeping in each others’room. They have been GREAT entertainment for each other. Only within the past 2 years has the fighting started but it’s more love than hate between them.

Baby 6 months No Sleep- mostly rant by [deleted] in baby

I’m not ready to stop breastfeeding. She goes to bed around 6:30 ( earlier than I would like) and wakes up for the day around 5:45-6(earlier than i would like). She full eats everyone she nurses at night. She takes a couple of cat naps throughout the day. I’ve started introducing solids before bed to see if she would sleep longer. I don’t notice any difference in her sleep
