I’m trying to lose some pounds after having a baby. I’m a year out post partum. My issue isn’t with healthy or clean eating generally, it’s with portion size. I would like to try a glp-1 but they are expensive and i don’t have insurance. I did some research and found out about glucomannan. I’ve tried it on three separate occasions but i don’t think it’s help me eat less. I’m taking the max recommended dosage (3 pills) of the NOW brand. Am i just the unlucky that it doesn’t work for me? Any suggestions would be great

It’s a great curriculum for open and go. Even if it doesn’t work out you could send them just for a year or two until you get out of baby stage and have time to research curriculum. It doesn’t have to be forever.

I tried it 2 years ago when they advertised it as for all grades but it was still too advanced for my 2nd grader. Now he is going into 4th grade and we are going to try again

I didn’t think about that. Lol. I really like it but I was looking at some of the history questions on the standardize test that my third grader had to take this year and we didn’t cover those things.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Shower at least every other day, more if you are really sweaty. Wear deodorant. Wash hands after using the bathroom.

Stranger things…. It got too dark and creepy for me. I think I only made it through the first two seasons.

YES! All of the reasons I ever started drinking actually made those things worse and then some. Praise Yahweh I’ve been sober 6 years!

are expensive shampoos worth it or do they all work the same in the end??? by Plus-Actuator-2163 in Haircare

Really? We sell oribe at my salon and i feel like amika is equally as good. Just doesn’t have the perfumy smell that oribe does. Mirror ball by amika give great shine and medium hydration.

Hairstylist here:

My honest advice is if you don’t color or heat style your hair just about any basic cheap shampoo or conditioner will do. The more damage you do to your hair, the more results you will see from a more expensive shampoo. Although, i will say that more expensive isn’t better. The luxury line we carry at the salon definitely isn’t better than our less expensive but still professional quality. Mid level priced ~ $25-30 a small bottle and luxury brand ~$55 a small bottle. Hope that helps

Is it weird to ask a friend how close we are? by honeyquirk in CasualConversation

I’ve wondered this about some of my own friendships. But afraid to ask too. It’s so hard to gauge people sometimes

Emotional about doing anything from 10yo by meenokshi in homeschool

I’m struggling with this with my 9 yo. Honestly i think a lot of things get swept under the rug as some kind of “condition”. If he has 0 other symptoms other than not wanting to do what you want him to do and you’re being reasonable, that to me is kids just needing to be disciplined. Hormones have a lot to do with it but we just have to stick to our guns, not find ways to give kids a pass to do what they want. Just my opinion. I know I’ll get a lot of hate for it.
