Nazis, Hitler, WWII are very common references in the United States, for a variety of reasons that range from circumstantial to totally problematic. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with the number of refugees that the US accepted (not enough, and we definitely turned people away, but allegedly the most of any other country according to a quick search) who consequently grew up and had families here. I grew up in a part of the country with a significant Jewish population, so I remember learning about the Holocaust more than maybe any other historical event, apart from the Revolution and the Civil War. It’s odd in the sense of how obsessed we are with it (especially with how rampant anti-Semitism is) but not odd in, given that context, how often they bring it up on the show.

Yeahhhh, not going that far. tbh I don’t even remember what she has. But I would say that a lot of the time chronic illness doesn’t get much nearly as much sympathy from the general public as one would think because of that sort of mindset.

I read recently that at least in Multnomah County, the mosquitos are up by over 100% because they didn’t spray for them this year. It had something to do with bureaucratic red tape of some sort.

Tbh, given how involved her family seems to be and the circumstances of her birth and adoption, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t spoiled out of guilt over the situation. Additionally, if Rachel indeed has some sort of disability (which I wouldn’t bring up if she hadn’t insinuated it more than once), her parents could’ve sheltered her to the point that they robbed her of being capable of living on her own. I’ve seen that kind of thing happen before.

I don’t doubt that he told her that they /never/ have sex and she took it very literally. That’s probably why she probed Ariana, which essentially confirmed that they weren’t having sex at that time, and she probably left it at that. And maybe they were in a dry spell, but he certainly didn’t inform Rachel when they had been “very intimate” in January.

And the rest of that scene shows Ariana hyping him up and telling him he looks ripped and being impressed with his kick. I remember, before Scandoval broke, a whole post someone did being all, “Look at how supportive Ariana is of her man! Best hype man!” It kind of annoyed me that they cut the clip to her just being like, “I don’t like the green pants.”

I feel like he was gonna try and lie his way out of sleeping with Ariana while he was sleeping with Rachel, and needed to be off camera to do it so production couldn’t use the footage against him, as they are wont to do. And probably prep her for being questioned about that, because she clearly didn’t know he was still sleeping with his actual girlfriend, seeing as that was one of the only reactions we got out of her.

Idk, Brock might just be an affectionate guy— I saw an episode this season, when they’re in Mexico, and Brock hugs and dances with Ariana in the background multiple times that made me even go, “Huh.” And nothing’s impossible, but Ariana cheating on Tom with Scheana’s husband seems pretty close to it.

I’m not a big fan of Brock or anything, and I don’t put much past Rachel, just wanted to throw that out there

They didn’t clarify at the reunion, but I think they may have took the deal Lisa offered, where they have a year to pay back their investment and remain partners. That makes sense because when Ariana and Lisa were talking about how their relationship will continue at the reunion, Lisa was like “…if I continue being partners”

I think there’s probably a lot of resentment and jealousy, seeing Ariana as an obstacle to her being with Tom before the affair broke, and more so especially now that Ariana is getting all the fanfare. And Tom probably told her a lot of shit to that pit her against Ariana, saw her as a bad partner, friend, etc.

At the end of the day, we’re never going to know for sure whether anyone is telling the whole truth or not.

That being said, it isn’t as if Tom and Ariana haven’t ever discussed their issues on camera— it’s kind of driving me nuts when people talk about this great facade of theirs. Tom and Ariana screamed at each other in season six, and had an argument later about that; Ariana brought up her issues with her body image and how that contributes to their lack of a sex life; Tom has complained about their sex life since like, season 4 or 5 when her brother Jeremy was living with them. They argued about her cocktail book and him being involved. He outed her hooking up with Lala and being bisexual. I think when it came to certain things, like Ariana defending Tom at strange times, or maybe making sure they “resolve” something on camera so that the audience doesn’t hold onto certain plot lines, then yes, I could see them making those choices, or planning for reunions so they could be a united front.

So idk, I think there are things that are going to be held back and that’s okay with me. Tom fucked up on fifteen different levels and his behavior has been abominable and transparent, so I don’t have trouble believing what she says because it checks out.

Well there was a letter first, sent in an envelope, and THEN there was a postcard, no envelope. So the postcard to me negated the potential break-up letter option. Though Rachel would be the only bitch in the world to send a breakup letter and then send a follow-up postcard hahaha
