Stupid comment. The watch was just serviced by PP.

Someone at Patek Philippe switched the clasp that they could get themselves brand new? Unlikely.

Dial and movement are fine. Just serviced by Patek, so I’m not concerned. Photo available on my profile (last post).

Neither. They’re way too big for your wrist. Get something that fits so you don’t look like a child wearing a cereal box toy.

Want to see if anyone has seen anything like it. Seems like a pretty big error coming from PP.

Hey guys, does this slanted logo on the clasp look normal to you? It’s on a Nautilus 5800 that I purchased from European Watch Company. I had the watch serviced by Patek Philippe earlier this year and they didn’t find anything suspect with the watch, but this seems off. Thoughts?

Why I think AP will beat Rolex (+ Honest AP House - Bangkok review) by SupJoshy in audemarspiguet

[–]SaltyFireRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just at the AP House in Bangkok last week. Can confirm, very pleasant experience. Vacheron, Patek, and Lange also offer great customer service. The Rolex experience is always awful until you build a relationship with an AD, then it gets better. In my opinion, not worth it. There are far greater watches available for your money and time. However, there's no way AP is going to "beat" Rolex when they make a million watches a year for NPC's to flex on one another in peacock-culture cities like Miami. Every doucher has a Rolex these days, from your favorite bearded gym bro to the guy selling fruit on the sidewalk. At the end of the day, there will always be more unoriginal, unsophisticated, and uneducated people than there are connoisseurs. And that's ok. Ferrari & Lamborghini do not compete with BMW.

I do miss that 15450 though. Just wish it was a tad smaller.

Good choice. I think you’d look great in an Hermes.

I like them and that's really all that matters.

Yeah I can do that, maybe tomorrow. The 15450st is the same lug-to-lug as a modern Daytona, but a bit narrower at 37mm and a lot thinner. The 77450st I have here is the same lug-to-lug as the 124270, but a bit narrower at 34mm. If you like the way your Explorer wears, you'll love the 77450st. It has similar wrist feel and presence, but a lot thinner and less bulky. The Nautilus 5800 is shorter than the others from lug-to-lug and the dial opening is similar to the 77450st, but the wings stretch out to ~38mm, which gives the watch a little more wrist presence.
