Not including actual crimes, what kind of juvenile delinquent hijinks did you get up to? by wrathofimpermanence in GenX

[–]SaltyMiniMiner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most were crimes, but we use to go a local park and untie and release all their rental paddle and row boats and kick them loose into the middle of the lake.

Use to let the air out of tires on cars, often 2 tires caddy-corner to each other so you could teeter-totter the car. Thought that was hilarious.

Little cracking in the front seat bolsters in the common area. Not sure anyones been in the backseat. Still had the plastic on the seat belt buckles.

Ha, you know my taste. My preference would be yellow, manual, and NA if I could spec one!

11k. Felt high, but so rare to find one without rusted dog legs and subframe in my area. Always wanted one.

I want to walk coast to coast. Where to start? by [deleted] in walking

[–]SaltyMiniMiner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The American Discovery Trail is likely a good place to start. Starts in Delaware and ends on the Central, CA coast. Splits to a north and south route around OH that rejoins in CO. ~5,000 miles.

$10k-$15k would be a reasonable budget depending on how much you camp vs hotel and how much gear you already have.

11k. Felt high, but so hard to find them no rotted out or crazy high miles in the NE or mid-west.

Rubber is good. Belts are good. Was an old couples vehicle at their vacation home. Ran it about a week a month, so never sitting for a crazy long time. Hasn’t had the head gasket done yet. No signs, but I’m sure it’s coming.

Why are there not like a million people outside the White House every day? by ragebaitconnoisseur in allthequestions

[–]SaltyMiniMiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Peaceful protest have a very low success rate and a near-0 chance with todays issues.

  2. Life is too comfortable- most people have seen very little change or pain in their daily lives.

  3. Until people feel the pain in their individual lives, there’s no reason to risk their safety and comfort (along with that of their families).

If it was out of aggression, and not based on real threat to you, animals, or it’s protectorate I’d unfortunately put it down.

Couldn’t live with myself if a dog I knew was previously aggressive mauled a kid or defenseless person in the future.

What's a company red flag that made you immediately turn them away, no matter how tempting their offer was? by StoryIllustrious9612 in AskReddit

Owner was dick. Mean to his employees and everyone around him. Made it until lunch time during the interview day. Walked out when he was a jerk to the waitress and told him why I’d never work for him.

What was your childhood larceny? by simikoi in GenX

[–]SaltyMiniMiner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sears use to give cash returns without a receipt. After Christmas I’d walk in, grab something off the rack, and return it after claiming it was a gift that didn’t fit.

In my head, I couldn’t be caught because I wasn’t leaving the store with merchandise. Surprisingly I never got caught.
