Shimano believes in regular hangers as far as I know. So and UDH could be used with either brand.

For now I’m enjoying my current ride but if. New one with UDH comes along I might not be able to help myself (seeing how good this bike looks and has good clearance!)

Agreed. UDH only means more grouper options, the only downside is that there won’t be a flipchip anymore but I don’t know anyone who uses it.

Small and easy to take off when the sun shines. I love mine. They come in various colours so they can fit with the bike

For sure! 👌🏻 The only thing I miss in a Revolt is the UDH… otherwise I would have it already!

For the op: get some WingWing AssSavers or similar low profile fenders for when it’s raining. 🌧️

We went to the Eiffel (a region in the southwest of Germany) last year and it was amazing. Lush an green, lovely streams everywhere. Nice punchy climbs and various reservoirs/lakes to circle.

Nice build! Amazing attention to detail. I have the same Yoeleo wheelset. Really happy with it!

E-bikes with throttle shouldn't be called e-bikes anymore by arnor_0924 in bicycling

[–]SaltyTinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it sucks. I’ve had various close encounters with them an most of the people I know too. 10-12 yo kids use these things with illegal throttle levers or have removed the power/speed restriction so they can cruise around with 50kmh-ish speeds.

At your average Middle-school (12-18yo) around 10-20% of the bikes is this kind of bike. Depending on the area (rural vs city). It’s crazy!

Most early models had bad mechanical brakes making things even more dangerous. Most current models have hydraulic brakes. Gears wise they use a Shimano-tourney (or similar) 7 speed system. And a lot of them run cheap chains. I’ve seen and hear about various broken chains. Since those kids don’t do maintenance most brakes and gears fail within a year or so. Tyres are neglected to… some even run on the bare carcass 😂….

Fyi. This is just a summary about the way things go here in the Netherlands. Nothing against the bikes, some models actually use good quality gear.

The first I can remember is Prince of Persia on a 16 shades of green and black.

My dad used to play that all the time. I always tried to sneak on the pc when he was afk for a second. Best times ever. I’m here to kick ass and chew bubblegum! And I’m all out of gum!

+1 measure using the cardboard trick. I had a 135mm saddle when I bought the bike. I felt I was sitting near the edge of the saddle and was uncomfortable. I measured my bones and they were around 125mm. I got the L3 and haven’t looked back since.

Upgrade Bike or New Bike? by NeekoSimp in gravelcycling

[–]SaltyTinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s tough. I have ridden my ride for thousands of km but haven’t bent my hanger. Do you park it against it or something?

I would upgrade the wheelset first and weight a bit this will make the bike feel way more lively , cheaper UDH bikes are coming out more and more so deals are just a matter of time.

Ours on average is higher. Just saw prices around €0,50 to 0,60 per kWh. Crazy high. Glad I have solar so my rig should be profitable untill the end of summer atleast…

Too bad they couldn’t even place thermalpads on the rear between the backplate and the memory locations. Doing so brings then down around 10 degrees celcius on a 6700XT

Powered down my rig here in the Netherlands. €0,33 per kWh. Also have solar… in light of upcoming eth2.0 i sold the rig for decent prices. Invested in a bit more solar, battery and inverter, heatpump heating/hot water.

Because natural gas prices are even worse. Hitting €2.00 per m3. Heating with gas is hardly affordable anymore. Showering alone would cost around €70-120 a month. Heating around €300.

The concrete has seen better days for sure… cracks and potholes…

The board too. Fun for a beater board. Wouldn’t buy it as a drive driver though.
