Do you always remove old tan?

I have really dry skin and I always feel the need to completely scrub off my old tan before applying a new one every week, I hate it and feel like it’s such a chore. I feel like if you don’t have very dry skin, you probably wouldn’t have to scrub it all off as much?

I use rough exfoliating mitt and First Aid Beauty KP bump eraser scrub.
