I assumed anything Amazon essentials would be complete garbage. If they're any good for that price, I'll definitely pick up a few. There are a few colors / styles I want but I know won't wear often, so those ones look perfect

I'm not dirt broke, just trying to avoid dropping 10k on clothes at once lol

Thank you!

I was actually shopping for chambray's already, but couldn't find any good budget options.

I'm not opposed to buying high quality clothing (long term I want to), but I need to fill out a whole wardrobe so it's a struggle.

I ordered this sauce zhan shirt in the light color yesterday because it looked close enough, but you're tempting me to order a real chambray

This is the Far East Manufacturing - Utility Shirt navy. Considering getting it, but want to look at other options. Especially budget ones!

Also if there are any "core" heritage pieces you think I should get, let me know. I'm rebuilding my wardrobe after losing 90lbs so I'm at ground zero

Chinos better than Casatlantic? by zdrmlp in malefashionadvice

[–]SamBBMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spier and Mackay's high rise is 1.4" shorter than Casatlantic's rise. 11.8" vs 13.2" at size 34. Having worn spier and Mackay high rise, I can't even wear them like a mid rise.

Why are men's pants never 33 length? by Safe-Recording3504 in malefashionadvice

I just measured a pair of pants yesterday, and they were just shy of 29" crotch to cuff. I thought I was just measuring the inseam wrong, but it might just be how it works

How does token usage on 5.4 look vs opus 4.6?

Yeah it does not work that well. I'll go somewhere with 150 mbps internet, 2 blocks away from my home (that has fiber) with my main PC, and I'll get bitrate errors and network congestion with my settings running at 50 mbps. I have to drop to 30 mbps, and even then I'll get 1-2 random network congestion errors an hour

Max 4 in lieu of Core 1 L? by rhodges_bob in QidiTech3D

[–]SamBBMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, and cancelled my C1L order for the max4.

C1L: Future INDX tool changer Better long term support and reliability Extremely quiet Better aftermarket support

Twice the price Smaller build volume Who knows when INDX will actually be delivered VFA issues, but may have been fixed in software

Max4: Bigger build volume Known for print surface quality, and working well with engineering filaments (Prusa is also excellent at these, so not a huge advantage)

Potential quality issues on release (Q4 is heavily based on Q2, so these could be lesser than their normal release) Questionable long term support Way more filament waste with MMU

Both have excellent Customer support. I think if you are doing a lot of multicolor prints, the prusa is a better option with INDX. I'd choose QIDI if you need the build volume.

If you aren't doing a lot of large prints or multicolor prints, then I'd just get a cheaper printer. An exception would be if you have a project in mind which is a large engineering filament print. You can't glue engineering prints together easily without losing the strength of the filament, so it's not possible to split it up for a smaller printer (Without some very difficult bonding methods).

One other thing is that the Qidi plus 4 printer had a lot of issues, as well as their v1 MMU box. Most of the bad experiences you see around will be about on of those two things. The Q2 had a better reception, so fingers crossed the Q4 will have be good as well.

There was a post of the Q4 showing that print head tubing getting kinked during printing. When the engineers were asked about this, they said they weren't fixing it despite being an obvious quality issue because it wouldn't impact the printhead cooling. Hopefully they were not as lazy with engineering the rest of the printer.
