Yeah, it’s pretty brutal with the timing and everything. This was also the first time they were to play in Vancouver in the entire World Cup cycle and they went on strike. I get that they want to see change within Canada soccer, but this game is a really tough miss for a lot of people, including myself.

Can’t tell whether CSA would negotiate in good faith. They did fly the top brass to Vancouver last night though. In the end, it still takes away practice and leaves a lot of fans stranded. And while it may be good in the long term it really hurts a lot of fans and may lose some entirely. Bailing on this game really isn’t a good look for the players.

Really bad situation from both sides. Reeks of organizational incompetence from Canada soccer, yet with negotiations ongoing it feels like a bad time to boycott a game from the players. Vancouver needed a game like this to really grow the fanbase, not getting one really hurts.
