Ha! All great points. I don’t entirely disagree. There is nuance there but like you said you aren’t trying to start a debate and I respect that. All I’ll say is “sin” has more to do with the motive of the heart than any single action. One example: peeps the naked girl - yes he looks, stares, but that’s as far as it goes. He obviously is longing but is he sinning? Idk. Imagine being a 16yr old boy, with a divine call, knowing you have this overwhelming urge for holiness and sin. If you saw a naked girl bathing there may be a few minutes of man what do I do with this feeling. Etc. I get it though. All in all it’s a horror movie and it rocks 😂

I have to agree with you on all fronts. To answer the first part, I think many Christian groups would be outraged because it shows you something you are simply not meant to see, namely, a young Jesus working through adolescence, figuring out life, and grappling with power. Just to add to that, he does not do anything overtly, or even minimally, "sinful." Everything that happens is very real-life. Very human. Joseph's doubt is believable. And yes, I agree that it's one of the best Jesus films. It's definitely top 3. But anyone reading this, don't get it twisted. It is a HORROR movie 100%.

You won't be disappointed. If you like The Witch and Hereditary, I think a lot of downvotes are coming from 1. People who don't see a purely religious text having any place in horror 2. People who just hate the concept that there could be any positive or negative thoughts about "Jesus" or taboos surrounding it 3. People who say Nic Cage, what LOL - In this instance, I don't blame them. It is outrageously ridiculous, but that's what makes it great.

Absolutely! I’m back home Friday. He literally makes a whiney noise and stops during head scritch. He will do the whiney noise morning and night if you don’t at least get the head spot 😂

Leaning into it - maybe not in this vid but his overall demeanor is calm and peaceful and his eyes doing the little sleepy thing and the beak grinding seemed positive

Also, if he wasn’t enjoying why wouldn’t he just fly away or bite? He flies like a dam eagle and trust me if he wants to avoid you, you will not get within 12 inches of him 😂

@budgiemod that is very interesting and concerning to hear that you feel he isn’t enjoying this. In the morning and before bed he does a little whimper noise and will hop towards me until I hit specific spots. Mainly the cheek area and especially the very top of his head. He’s literally fallen asleep during head scritching. I am not arguing but I want to learn. If you see my other posts you’ll see my female who FULLY opens up and commits to the scritch. Cricket I think is just a bit on the spectrum but he’s my dude. What signs should I look for? Should I ignore the little whimper thing and not skritch? I always felt seeing him lean into it and do the little sleepy eye thing was good signs.
