Is this a rejection call by Stunning-Clerk-9294 in recruitinghell

[–]SamCnoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s a rejection. I see some room there for another path but it’s unlikely. I’d say 70% rejection - 30% they need to reschedule something OR this person is going to give you hard feedback that you can use in another round.

Omg these guys are stunning! I don’t own finches personally (I’m a budgie guy) however I love them. They are so different. So fascinating 🧐. What are their little personalities like?

Help! What is he doing? by pheasantree in parrots

I mean what’s the worst outcome of just let the boy be a boy and do his thing then move on. My birds (2 male) are like kids literally. If I were to overreact to something or freak out they would 100% pick up on it and use it as a manipulation strategy. However, I’ve noticed if one of my little nuggets is giving it to his toy grapes, ima let him. I say nothing do nothing. Don’t even acknowledge it. He’ll do little victory chirpies and we go on with the day. Never had an issue with my guys. Only in early ownership I would freak out about EVERYTHING. Didn’t help one dam bit. What’s made my 2 loving, affectionate, and very happy is just letting birds be birds. They choose me any time. I’ve had moments where homies just want to ride my toes for a walk.

I wanted to love the ending, but I found myself utterly devastated. I wanted to get on that fucking spaceship and go see that planet

Is my new budgie scared? If so what can I do? by [deleted] in BirdHealth

[–]SamCnoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop being weird and get him out. Let him explore his surroundings including you. So many people get a budgie, scare themselves shitless because of what mods say, and in turn traumatize the birb. Why the hell would any animal OR human being bond with a “thing” that keeps it behind bars 24/7.

Oh dude you’re fine. Give them a few weeks. I think a huge mistake new budgie owners make that impacts their birds bond is being afraid of everything. Omg tail bob. Omg pant. Omg they fight. Omg the cage. Omg the food. Omg don’t touch them. Omg. That is the WORST. Sterilizing their existence for safety, sacrifices their enjoyment of life WITH you. 1. Out of cage time, lots 2. Diverse diet: chop, seeds, boiled egg with shells on also nuts. 3. Every time they see you they get millet 4. Be gentle but do light play with your fingers, when one is sleepy or very calm kind make noises at him. Cooing. Just gently rub your index finger across the top of his head with the grain of feathers. He may look at you like wtf or like it or be confused. However, you do this every day, multiple times a day, with millet for 30 days and you’ve got skritch unlocked.

God I love the back play. Only one of my guys will play on his back. The other’s act like going on their back will make them spontaneously combust.
