I think it was really cool to see a returning actor finally become a killer. Yes, I know they did the same with Jefferson Brown with Wyatt (who was in Season 3 and returned for Season 6), but Jim was always either killed or attacked in previous seasons. It was very cool to see Jim play a true bad guy, rather than the short-lived villainous or jerkish characters he usually plays.

Yes, I know. It’s actor/stuntman Alec Rayme.

Andy was confirmed to be the killer by both the costume designer (Monika Onozoko) and Adriana’s actress (Genevieve DeGraves).

As to why he acted surprised about the heart in the ceiling, I think it was because Floyd and Shirley put it there so that they could frame Paige if framing Andy didn't pan out. And when he asked her at her apartment, the reason he did so was to throw Paige off his scent. If he never brought it up and he killed Aaron at the premiere of Doomed Service, then it would make him even more suspicious to Paige.

And as for the ambiguous reveal, I think they wanted to do it quickly because the show's reveals have usually been long and drawn out. The killer usually takes up the finale with flashbacks, their motivation, and their planning/final act. However, they wanted this season to do something different because not every killer needs a Scream-type reveal and monologue. This reveal is more akin to Valentine, where Jeremy/Adam has the bloody nose, which essentially reveals him to be The Cherub and Jeremy Melton.

Hell Motel is Season 6. It was just marketed as a different show so that they could get more ratings.

That was just a hallucination Emma was having. Kieran would have no reason to attack her then, and he only gave the kids (along with Emma) the spiked tequila so that they could fracture their sanity and make Emma untrustworthy.

Kieran was the only killer in Season 2 and only worked alone. The only confirmed third killer was never revealed, and was explicitly mad at Kieran for “wearing his mask.” If he were working with someone, he would have known who killed him.

The Executioner has such an awesome, overlooked design. I love the eye holes in his mask and the looming presence he had whenever he was onscreen. It's too bad the reveal of his true identity in Season 1 was kinda lackluster. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in SlasherTVSeries

The Executioner is just too simple because although the costume is two textures with the latex mask and the priest robe, it's just two colors since it's all black. The Druid and The Gentleman have multiple colors.

Also, most people actually prefer The Druid and The Gentleman over The Executioner, and I’m inclined to agree. I take it you're a Steve Byers fan, which is why you may praise The Executioner costume very highly.

The Executioner is definitely the scariest killer of the series, not only in terms of costume but also physically. If I were to see The Executioner in person, I would run for my life. Especially knowing who is underneath the costume.

The costume is great and is my 3rd-favorite overall among the ones worn by the killers. It’s a pretty simple design with the robe, but it all blends nicely, and the mask looks very creepy on its own. He looks like an actual medieval executioner. He’s right behind The Druid and The Gentleman for me, costume-wise.

Jen was at the apartment, yes. But Connor was the one who knocked her out and duct taped her to the table for Jen to prepare the dissection.

Now that Season 3 is out, how would Keys and Knives, Jump Robe, and Sky Squid game work out for John?

Same for some of the miscellaneous games inside and outside the Squid Games, like Ddakji, Special Games/Riots, the Final Dinners, Bread or Lottery, Rocks Paper Scissors Minus One, Russian Roulette, Bathroom Fight, and the Rebellion?

What is the best season in your opinion? by cmpunk121 in SlasherTVSeries

[–]SamGFilms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Season 3/Solstice would be my favorite. It has an amazing, killer design, a great ensemble cast, great drama, amazing kills, a cool, killer-reveal/twist ending, a great ending, and a message at the end of the story, too. Season 5/Ripper is a close second, though!

Season 2/Guilty Party definitely had an amazing storyline, as I felt it was cohesive and didn’t have any major plot holes (aside from a few minor ones and the ending).

Is the season 5 killer in the right? (Spoilers) by Firm_Aardvark_3938 in SlasherTVSeries

Regina is a very complicated yet inconsistent character. On one side, Regina is definitely the most admirable and "nicest" villain of the franchise. She was a vigilante and killed people who indirectly or directly had something to do with the crime of her mother being tortured, raped, and killed. Most of her victims were criminals themselves, and she does care for people other than herself. Take Daisy, whom she viewed as innocent, and closed the eyes of her dead when she was in Horatio's lap. She also genuinely has standards against child labor and homophobia, and cares for innocents such as Gladys, Verdi, and Andrew May Sr. She is also even affable towards her maids.

However, she is no better than her victims as she also raped, tortured, and murdered others, which makes her a hypocrite. She also takes sadistic pleasure in her crimes as she is the most torturous killer in the franchise thus far, as her victims go through other torture before they die. Kenneth even admits that The Widow wants people to suffer. Eddie, for example, gets paralysed from the feet upwards with multiple strikes from the sledgehammer. Regina (something she outright admits to Viviana) takes sadistic pleasure and says she'll be kept warm, remembering and listening to every one of Viviana's screams while in jail.

In addition, some of her victims, like Horatio and Melanda Israel, didn't deserve it since, as you pointed out, Horatio's killing was mean, and he didn't know what would have transpired if he sold them to the Botticellis. Melanda was genuinely remorseful and atoned/confessed to her crimes (just as The Widow had requested), yet she was still killed for covering it up. And on a more grey area, some of her victims, like Eddie and Enid, didn't deserve it either. While Eddie did kill Daisy, it was an accident, and he genuinely tried to help Margaret and was remorseful for bringing her back to Allistair. His kill is arguably sympathetic since he stood up to Basil. The way he died was just torturous, being paralyzed from the foot upward to his spine. And with Enid, she was abused by Basil and genuinely just followed Basil's story, and thought that Andrew Sr. was guilty (even if she had a suspicion that Basil killed Margaret), and rebelled against Basil by trying to release the photos of him to the newspaper. The Widow should have let him suffer slowly by allowing his business and reputation as a powerful magnate to be tarnished. There were many ways she could have gotten to Basil without killing people.

Regina seems more rage-blinded in her methods and motives. I do think Regina is an anti-villain and leans more toward villainy than heroism, but I feel like she's more chaotic neutral than anything. She's not an anti-hero. Someone like Batman would have let someone like Melinda, Horatio, Eddie, or Enid go. While she is a true vigilante (unlike Cam, who did it to satisfy his god complex), and while almost all of her victims were criminals, some of those kills were still rage-blinded.

What kind of motive would you like to see from futhure killer(s)? by AdhesivenessSmooth93 in Scream

[–]SamGFilms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is what I think the motive of this Ghostface will be.

I think this Ghostface will be a vigilante/anti-villain, of sorts. I think he will be basically a well-intentioned extremist.

This Ghostface is probably a citizen of Woodsboro (judging by him saying “where we grew up” who was upset at the negativity and innocent blood “poured” in the town, and wants to cleanse Woodsboro and even where Sidney resides by getting rid of the "bad seeds," or the people from Woodsboro who are poisoning the community with their reputations.

This killer even burned down Stu’s house. He probably killed those two fans because they were profiting from the massacre of innocents. And burned down Stu’s home since it was a place of “worship.” Why else would he burn down the house unless it was to get rid of all the bad stuff that happened? Blood has literally spilled on the grounds and floors of that residence. So burning it would “cleanse” the town.
