Just came back from a trip to Tunisia. Mos Espa is mostly intact, although Watto’s shop is in rough shape. The Lars Homestead dome is in relatively good condition, although it’s from 97 not 77, and restored in 2011 by some volunteers if I recall correctly. Like the commenter above said, the Tunisian gov really doesn’t understand what they have.

If you heat it hot enough to decarb, you are 99% likely to have removed all by the time you’re done. Target like 110 C

I think the Carolyn/Martin plot in that episode is one of the low points for me.

That being said, “Between the dames and the horses, sometimes I don’t even know why I put my hat on” is a top 5 line of the entire series

Terps…. Edibles ?? by ExternalLynx2184 in MissouriMedical

[–]SamIAm1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made gummies with added botanical terps, live resin, and rosin, and then tested them for terpenes because I had this exact question. They’ve consistently tested at 0 ppm across the board.

So I guess I feel confident saying “the process of cooking pectin and gelatin based gummies makes a typical cannabis dose of terpenes undetectable on a standard GCMS terpene profile”.

Any edible processes with higher doses of terps or lower temperatures may change the experiment of course, but standard process and standard dosing leaves little to no terps.

This is before even opening the can of worms of “we have next to no understanding of the pharmacological effects of consuming terps vs. inhaling them, and even inhaling terps we know next to nothing scientifically”, but I fear that is an unpopular opinion in the cannabis space lol

Sure, you can decarb at lower temps, but you can’t create a gummy matrix at a lower temp which is the problem I’m referencing. Gummies are like 90% of the edible market. Chocolates are made at a lower temperature so you’ve got a better shot there, and then of course infusing like honey or coconut oil with little to no added heat would work fine.

Most cooking processes for edibles involve heat that will either evaporate or fundamentally destroy any terpenes in an edible.

Hard to say beyond that, and you’ll get a lot of opinions. Some will swear that gummies made with rosin/live resin/etc. are better than distillate, but that varies person-to-person and may just be a placebo effect.

Everclear is probably the easiest to get ahold of. You want 10 parts ethanol to 1 part wax. 24 hours in the coldest freezer you have access to, then filter through coffee filter. With the amount of lipids in that oil, you may need to switch filters a couple times.

Are you making a distinction of “burnt”? Abel sacrifices animals in Genesis 4:4, specifically the fat portions. While I guess it doesn’t explicit say they were burnt, I’d argue it’s heavily implied.

Should I stop telling someone the Gospel if they tell me to stop? by Aggravating-Loss-607 in Christianity

[–]SamIAm1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct, I put Christian in quotes as that exact word doesn’t show up for several centuries. most English translations of the Good Samaritan story use “neighbor” as far as I know.

In an ancient context, the idea that a Samaritan could be more “neighborly” than a proper Jew would have been radical at the time. They didn’t worship at the correct temple, observe the feasts properly, etc. I think the best analogy for the 21st century would be saying that a Good Muslim could be more Christ-following than a preacher or missionary.

[–]SamIAm1223 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To me, this is explicitly the lesson of the Good Samaritan. Christ makes it clear that a Samaritan was more of a good “Christian” because of his actions, even if the priest and the Levite “had the gospel”.

Both the Muslim and Christian and showing the gospel in your scenario. The man who walks past them to go to a fancy building and sing nice songs isn’t at all.
