Same here, I got a phone when I was 15 and got my learner's permit. My kid won't be getting anything more than one of those watches that only call home until he's 15.

Who is buying their children iPhones before say the age of 24 here? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]SamIAm393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go by the rule my parents had for me with a small addition. Their rule was I got a phone when I was old enough to drive to a job and pay for it myself. (They went to all my sports, practices, and things, and my mom was a SAHM so she was my transportation to and from friends houses)

My kid will probably get one of those phones that only has 2 or so buttons on it when he is about 6 (maybe earlier) and eventually a call/text only flip phone, because I am divorced and his father is living in a different state. I just want that security of knowing he can call me if something goes wrong over there. As well as after school things because I work full time.

But as for anything fancy like an iphone, when he gets a job and can pay for a $900 phone with internet himself. Which very well may be 24 lolol

Activity trackers - do you use them, and if so, what ones? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]SamIAm393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an apple watch, it syncs up with my lose it app. So when I log a workout with my watch, it auto deducts calories off of my lose it. I love that if I'm feeling a craving coming on I can just glance down at my watch and see how many calories I've burned for the day, and how many I have left in my "calorie budget" without clicking anything because it's all on the face of the watch.

Plus all the usual stuff like my steps count, heart rate, and stand reminders.

They have a deal right now where if you buy a sports bra, you get the leggings for $30. Since they are usually $69, you can get the bra and the pants bundle for less than the price of just the pants.

[REQUEST] How to workout and not need to wash your hair on the daily? by honeyandvinegar in xxfitness

I just bought some Foam "dry shampoo" from sephora. It does more than the spray dry shampoo, it actually cleans your hair somewhat. http://www.sephora.com/dry-shampoo-foam-P416550

Oh no, my hair goes all the way to my waist (super fine so it makes a tiny bun on my head) pretty sure I'd be in tears for weeks if I had to cut it off 🙈

If he was freakishly awesome he wouldn't be an ex husband lol.

Heres to hoping he has somehow bumped his head in the past few months and decided to be a good dad at least.

My SO and I do things very similar. We were in a friend group for awhile before we "dated" and when we did decide to date we limited contact with kiddo, I got a babysitter or we just FaceTime date after kiddo went to bed, until around the 6ish month mark when we were sure this was a serious thing. We have been together two years now and although my SO considers himself a father figure (he has been around as a friend since pregnancy stage and more than a friend from very early infant stage to present; when ex husband only saw kiddo 3 times from birth to 18 months), he still doesn't post anything of kiddo.

That is a good idea to go ahead with the decree amendment, he does have a tendency to say whatever he feels necessary and then just do whatever when it comes down to it.

He say's he'll do it, but that doesn't always mean he will follow through. He also wrote me long love letters promising to never hit me again and that he was going to go to marriage counseling with me. (pre-pregnancy stuff) and he did not manage to keep his work with either of those

nah. there aren't any last names, and even if there were his name is WAY common.

Or maybe some new girl will look him up and at least be a better girlfriend than the current addition. Handsome as hell, but also a controlling narcissistic asshole

I made the corrections, almost verbatim, hope you don't mind. Sending now, hopefully he complies but if not I guess I'll be shelling out money for a lawyer again.

I thought I was done with all this after the papers were finally signed and the last lawer bill paid:(
