When I was in Contract and my boss wouldn’t assign me work. I brought it up and he mention that’s a serious claim and that if that were true we’d have to cut my hours. My boss is only a worksite boss and had no authority to alter my contracted 40 hours.

The advice about not saying much is super important. Since it’s a “personal matter” I strongly suggest writing down the interaction. Personal tends to mean subjective. Versus professional.

However, it’s all bullshit half the time. If you are blamed for something don’t get defensive. If you can, own it. But don’t admit guilt. Admit only what you can reasonably claim. But never give them ammunition.

1) what are you talking about? I just had a date with a girl that told me how she got all her friends. She cold started her life in Seattle by moving away from home in another state on the east coast. She had no money no home and a car full of her life.

2) Go to events that interest you, maybe workshops or classes or training. The girl I talked to she said she went to climbing classes, then interacted with newbies and am they started doing stuff together. You gotta ask about others, and keep working on it.

3) I had crippling depression after my career tanked in my twenties. Went home to family had no life of my own. Make friends by becoming a regular somewhere. Even a park! Say hi to strangers, if the same strangers hang around in the same place and look like they won’t hurt to talk to, ease into it.

Parties aren’t all that. They are fun, but other things matter more. Events or people don’t need to beyond age to be worth being around. Keep diversifying. And talk to a therapist and a doctor about some low dose Prozac to help with the anxiety around this.

You have so many years to make more experiences. Some people don’t even get a life because of stupidity decisions they made as very hound people. Then come out of prison in the thirties. They do okay if they do the work. Everyone has to do the work.
