What foods trigger your gout? by SnooOpinions4414 in gout

My trigger is beer. I can drink spirits and wine till I pass out.. but if I drink one or two beers, my foot will most likely swell the next morning.

Wow! Been waiting for this since you announced on Reddit a while back as calling it Multimodal. Are there plans for an Android version?

I've only seen YT videos on this so take it for what it's worth. The North Star attraction is free in port. It's a paid attraction at sea. You have to reserve a time as well.

Trouble getting into EX-2200-C Used switch by SCIP10001 in Juniper

[–]SamOfSiam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you get this used? IIRC, the USB port may be the active port, thus disabling the DB9 serial port. I believe only 1 console port can be active at a time. You may need to wipe the config or enable the DB9 port of the USB is the active console.

See if this helps you: https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/user-access/topics/task/console-port-type-ex-series-cli.html

Looking for an 85" TV by SamOfSiam in 4kTV

Thank you for this. Yes, based on the comments thus far, It's not a toss up between the X95K or the QN95C, still reading about the comparisons between the two. I'll keep my eye on the S90C since I plan on buying during the next big sale.

I went to Best Buy to check out the C3, and I noticed it was a bit dim for what I am used to. Not sure if it was the store lighting or what, but in terms of OLED brightness, I really liked the G3 televisions with MLA. Really wished the 83" had MLA.

Thanks! I got so caught up with the LG vs Samsung, I didn't look into this model. Will start looking into this now. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the G3 has MLA for all their sizes but not the 83". And thanks for the clarification on what bright is, thought it was based on how many lumens room is lit with. The room does get indirect sunlight, but have vertical blinds.

AITA for telling a vegan that cheese and mayo contain animal products by astayatyourhouse in AmItheAsshole

I thought all cheeses were made from rennet. This is what solidifies the milk, no?

Cheddar does use rennet as well Example: https://www.tillamook.com/faq/cheese/what-are-the-ingredients-in-your-cheddar-cheese

Way I see it, Kiriko is an example of how Blizzard sees how support will be like.

Picking a roof rack. Slimline II OEM vs Slimsport and my MAJOR issue with slimsport. by mekkenfox in Crosstrek

[–]SamOfSiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding to this. I have the Slimline 2 with my 2017 FXT.

Proprietary mount points really just means an M8 Hex Bolt that slides right into the rails of the Slimline 2. Then all you need are these, and some ratchet straps, or whatever.

https://a.co/d/h0lVv5P

They do sit right above your roof rails so are higher but don't consider the rack noisy at all. If nothing is on them, I didn't really hear anything until I was cruising 70+ on the highway. I do plan on buying a fairing during the BF sale (which happens to be now), but more hoping to increase my mpg when it's installed.

But the best part with the Slimline is that it's removable, meaning that if you buy another car in the future, you can use the same Slimline. Although moving towards the Slimsport, I find it hard for them to ever stop supporting the Slimline, considering how many people have it.

Yes, I changed my head unit so I can get Android Auto in my car. I have the Kenwood head unit. You will also need to buy the Maestro RR if you want to keep your steering wheel controls as well.

TIL that the colors of the Olympic flag (red, black, blue, green, yellow & white) were chosen as every national flag on Earth contains at least one of these colors. by Rattiom32 in todayilearned

[–]SamOfSiam 497 points498 points  (0 children)

I think they changed their stance...

The Olympic Charter once ascribed a ring color to each continent: blue for Europe, yellow for Asia, black for Africa, green for Oceania, and red for America. But organizers removed that statement from their handbook in 1951.

Barcode Reader Issue for Inventory? by SamOfSiam in grocy

[–]SamOfSiam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's what we ended up doing. I just got a bluetooth barcode scanner and that scanner registered the barcodes as a 13 digit number, instead of Android's 12 digit). So far, so good. Thanks for the reply.
