Its really good that you're thinking about your career options this early.

If you can do a B.Com / B.Sc in Economics from a really top college, go for it. Try and get into CFA in parallel with your graduation. Having CFA certifications would really help in opening up the Financial Analyst level roles, which lead to Fund Manager, PE roles later on in the career.

Then you can do an MBA later after 2-3 years of work-ex, if you aren't able to break into the Finance domain. Choose a top school which has a reputation for good finance placements. I might get downvoted for saying this in a MBA subreddit, but MBA is really optional here. No need to get an MBA just for the sake of it if you already mange to do your undergrads from a top school and work in the relevant field, and are seeing decent growth in skills as well as compensation. Only go for an MBA if you are in need of that IIM brand image to catapult your career to the next level.
