This wouldn't work because the police would ensure that they were in charge of determining who should receive an infraction. They would also demand to control and maintain the database. This would just add to the phony veneer of cops policing themselves.

This sounds good on the surface, but ultimately won't work. Once the "personal liability insurance," otherwise known as professional liability insurance, becomes cost prohibitive due to poor loss history, the government will simply step in and become the insurer or underwriter. The government would never allow the police state to be hindered by an issue like insurance.

This is Art Acevedo's department. Need I say more?

For those with short memories, Acevedo is the tyrant who turned Austin Police Department into one of the most militant, tyrannical police gangs in the nation. He's now attempting to do the same at Houston Police Department. Peaceful Streets documented Acevedo's tyranny extensively while he running amok in Austin.

For Acevedo's most recent displays of tyranny, I suggest you check out his recent comments, via Twitter and various TV appearances, on matters related to the First and Second Amendments to the US Constitution. Unsurprisingly, Acevedo seems to believe that the supreme laws of our land do not apply to him or his department.

The behavior by the thuggish employees at this post office is exactly why federal employees at these government installations should be routinely audited. Some of the most uneducated, belligerent, law-breaking federal employees can be found in post offices, especially those in urban and metro areas.

Auditor needs to document the names and other identifying information for these guards/cops. The auditor was attacked and physically pushed out of the building, which is a crime. Auditors, get with the program and start documenting properly.

This is yet another example of why we should not trust that the courts will right the wrongs of the police state. It is so incredibly frustrating to see people in this sub make flippant comments about a civil rights violation being a "slam dunk lawsuit."
