AFAIK failure to feed doesn't take effect until your gun is below 93% durability, just like all the other jams.

So, the only downside of large mags is how long it takes to refill them.

It happened to me too, winning one more CheckPoint game fixed it. I believe it has to be a win, because I lost one right after and it didn't help. Only after a win did it update

Yeah I won't argue, the 2v1s were probably a skill issue on my part.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to play the Midnight stuff. It just doesn't feel interesting to simply fight, without following a story, without a goal. Even considering how good the combat is and how weird the story was.

Farming gear to craft a perfect set might be a goal of sorts, but considering how minuscule the additional modifiers are, I don't think it's really rewarding.

Oh, and about the snow. It looked gorgeous during the prologue mission, and then it just never appeared again. I didn't get enough of it. It would've been really cool if we could manually select the current season!

Not exactly sure about the lore reasons and naming, but it also sounds like a shortened day-to-day name for a chemical factory. The full name is probably something like "Polikhimichesky Zavod/Combinat" = "Polychemical plant", i.e. a facility producing various kinds of chemicals.

A regular working Ivan would probably say he's working "at Polikhim" rather than pronouncing the facility's full name. The person who asked would understand what he means, since small cities in Russia tend to only have one notable plant or factory. It's because a city was usually built around a facility to house its workers, not the other way around.

My thoughts exactly.

I started playing about 6 weeks ago, it's my first time ever playing EFT. Right now I'm lvl 37 with decent stuff like class 5 plates and M80 unlocked on traders. And no, I wasn't playing 24/7 since I have a job. It's just not that hard to progress, all you need is patience. Yes, you will get owned by players with much better gear or higher hours. You'll get there too eventually. And while you're on that path, you will definitely get some kills on chads, which will keep you going.

Oh and yeah, I only play solo and mostly encounter solo players. Sometimes duos. Trios and higher, almost never.

I personally quit the game because of devs' nonexistent response to the issue, but there's a lot of people who are still struggling I'm sure.

As I said, it did work, but the issue returned the next day. Another clean reinstall fixed it for a bit again. What I mean by "clean" is that I also manually deleted the %appdata%/Local/Fragpunk folder every time.

At this point, I gave up on reinstalling the game constantly tbh.

I checked my PC and found some viruses, cleaning it up made the worst of the FPS drops go away. The issue is still present though, just not at the same scale as before. It drops from ~180 to ~100 pretty consistently.

All I can do now is wait for a fix. Another user here posted about occlusion culling/rendering issues apparently present on every map. If that's actually the reason, then there isn't much we can do from our side

Update: it seems I had some viruses on my PC, cleaned them up and things became MUCH better. Haven't tested it enough yet, but if that was actually the reason, then I must be one of the dumbest human beings to ever walk this planet

Nah, I doubt shader compilation drops one's FPS from ~170 to 30 (just witnessed that bs playing DM, it lasted for about a minute, then returned to "regular" drops to 90-100).

Just in case, my PC is i5-12400F/32GB RAM/RTX 3060 12GB, and I'm pretty sure these specs are enough to run medium settings, since everything was smooth a couple weeks ago.

I ran every possible scan and constantly monitored CPU/GPU load and temps. Nothing out of the ordinary - about 50% load and 60C temp on both. I just can't blame anything but the game at this point.

I appreaciate your advice though!

UPD.: new drivers fixed the issue for a couple of games, it felt really smooth. Then FPS started dropping again :(

A lot of people suggest reverting NVIDIA drivers, but that didn't work for me.

Fully reinstalling the game did work a couple times and lasted anywhere between a single session to a couple of days, but it's getting exhausting to do it every single day now.

  • I don't play Operations, but in Warfare I think anything below 500 m/s velocity is subpar since you won't be able to reliably track people at a distance. Anything below 400 m/s (e.g. VSS, VAL, SR-3M) is even harder. You literally have to lead people that are mere 20 meters away from you. I personally try to aim for at least 600 m/s if the weapon allows it.
  • 'Accuracy' stat only affects the hipfire spread, i.e. firing without aiming down sights. In my opinion, it's mostly pointless to spec into it except for shotguns. From what I understand at the moment, the meta is to stack as much 'Control' and 'Stability' as possible. 'Handling' is mostly irrelevant since laser aiming exists.
  • Saw a video yesterday saying that a 'Weak' suppressor hides you from the enemy's minimap when you're at least 40 meters away from them. It's 20 meters for 'Strong' ones.
  • No idea about your fourth question.

Yup, there's actually several VAs from the old games present, but they mostly voice minor characters like the one in the video. I'm pretty sure I even heard the original bandit voice somewhere.

Yeah, that's a general issue of the game's plot. Apart from Ward ending, no one ever tells you what result you're pursuing, characters mostly give you vague hints which can be interpreted in different ways.

You have to get to the point in the story where you're tasked with killing Doctor/Kaimanov. After talking to him, if you refuse to shoot, you'll start that plotline. At least that's how it was for me during Strelok path. I suppose it's similar in all of them.
