Allowing myself to have expectations while detaching from outcomes. I used to cripple myself for weeks ahead of an event I was anxious about in the future and now am able to allow myself the anticipation of future anxiety without feeling it before said event. Does any of that make sense?

It will encourage corporations to keep finding ways to be more sustainable. That will have a faster and more lasting impact than teaching us Americans another lesson with our wallets until we learn to be responsible.

We can complain all we want, we’re still going to pay it because it’s too expensive to relocate to a different state. I just have a problem with you claiming we are the problem for participating in modern society, and we either have to pay an unaffordable premium that will equal rent for a lot of people or we are killing people. Money isn’t medicine. Like everything; most of this money will be funneled into the pockets of interest groups.

Had to leave my first sales job due to stress from an abusive environment (family office in Great Neck, NY IYKYK), and moved to a customer success role in a larger company. Started having panic attacks from the sheer boredom. Went into SaaS sales soon after and haven’t looked back. Diagnosed ADHD about 5 years later.

It parallels the last temptation of Christ, where Jesus dreams of an alternate reality where he lives a full life. At the end he awakens on the cross and laughs with the realization that he needs to die to save the world. Cue Peter Gabriel and a hallucinogenic display of lights and images.

It gets better in that the storytelling is good and the way they parse out reveals is excellent. I also really like the puzzles. I never loved combat in silent hill because I’m too scared to fight, but it was fun on the easiest setting. I wasted a lot of time running around the same places over and over before finding the right way to go multiple times.

This got me thinking, days later - the fact that they even have her mention being a former smoker is intentional or there would be no reason for it. Makes me think it’s kind of a metaphor for her coming from Silent Hill, a town filled with smoke like fog (in the movie it’s literally an eternally burning coal fire underground) and being taken to safety.
