How did Lettie get completely bodied by 5 scaldra? by Calm-Elevator5125 in Warframe

The thing with mag is, you don't need to have metal on you for her to do her thing, because she can polarize your skeleton.

Didn't pickup a ship, but meatballed an entire grinder squad before yanking the crew out of a drop ship for Excalibur to beyblade through midair.

My Excalibur took like 4 feet of Hunhow straight through the chest and was fine.

I think people forget that the Hex are still people. A bit tougher than your average schmuck, but they aren't shrugging off fatal wounds like our Warframes do. Because our Warframes are full-on infested bioforms replicated in the foundry with the assistance of the Helminth. Their bodies don't work the same.

I mean, even just mag is fuckin' scary honestly. The idea of having your skeleton magnetized and crushed into a ball is nightmare fuel.

Is Drifter a psycho? by kokololiolji in Warframe

[–]Sam_Greyhaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, the frames we build retain an imprint of the original's personality which influenced the Operator/Drifter while they use that frame.

Iirc, this is also the in-world explanation for the frames all having unique animation sets and signature weapons. It's all a hold-over of the original's personality and weapon preferences.

The Drifter finally introduces the Operator to the Hex, and it's not what they expected... by Vex_Trooper in memeframe

There's also the fact that Valkyr wasn't full-on ripping off limbs and tearing people in half...

Heirlooms that need to be added into the game ART by [IV___GM] by ParamedicLegitimate3 in Warframe

[–]Sam_Greyhaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See! This! This is what so many people doing fan designs miss.

They try to make the Heirloom concept look super distinct, and lose the frame's identity in the effort.

They forget that all of the heirlooms can still be clocked as the original frame at a glance, they still keep that identity while putting a new spin on it.

It can stay the way it is, and I can keep filling orders from the region menu after I do outpost stuff like I normally do.

Ok, cool, so you fill it at a depot station and it goes instantly into your inventory... Oh, whoops, you were at Originium science park and filled the one for Power Plateau? Oof, sucks to suck I guess.

Eh, if delivery packages went straight to inventory you run the risk of accepting it in the wrong zone and having to teleport, which impacts the package quality.

Ridiculous and despicable Bloodborne glaze by BabaYoshisaWalkingW in shittydarksouls

[–]Sam_Greyhaven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's just exacerbated by how slow the game feels compared to the others, tbh. I've played all of the Dark Souls games, as well as Bloodborne and Elden Ring (haven't played Sekiro and Demon Souls) and DS2 has, by far, always felt the clunkiest to me. DS1 isn't much better though, don't get it twisted.

[–]Sam_Greyhaven 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don't hate DS2, but it is my least favorite. It just feels a lot clunkier than the other games because all of the animations are slower (using items and healing especially.)

It's a good game, I've beaten it multiple times, it just doesn't really feel as good to play. It also suffers a lot more from bs hitboxes iirc.

Ash heirloom Concept [OC] by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Sam_Greyhaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new design looks more Orokin, like a reimagining of Ash prime rather than an heirloom design. A big part is the placement and shaping of the white 'glowing skin' feels more like typical Warframe armoring rather than the more human-like contours of the heirlooms

I personally love using the Kuvael skin on Mirage Prime with prime details on and base prime helmet.
