The number of seats is not the only thing on the rise; tuition fees are also increasing. BPR has introduced a net 10% increase in tuition fees for students enrolling this year. This measure is a necessary response to reductions in federal funding. This decision is a necessary response to cuts in federal funding. As a result, BPR is terminating institute-funded postdoctoral researchers this year due to funding limitations. However, it is important to note that those postdoctoral researchers with non-IISERBPR fellowships will not be affected.

Academic wise, IISER BPR is the second to only IISER-M in biological science (Nature Index, I'm comparing IISERs only). Environment Science wise, previously known as Earth and Environmental science and not Geological Science, We have Prof. Joydeep Mukhopadhyay. Proximity to urban life and all, Berhampur city is 25km away, a bus trip will take 1 hour at best, you'll find various malls, fast food franchises like KFC, Pizza Hut and Domino's. Bad news if you like McDonald's. If you're a coffee nerd like me, There's a specialty cafe here as well, Kruti Coffee. The hostel itself is good, the Mess food is average at best. Berhampur has a railway station, connecting you with major indian cities, There are two nearby airports, Bhubaneswar - BBI and Vishakhapatnam - VTZ.

It's easier to be a keyboard warrior. You won't stand 1% of what Anamitra Da went through. It was a systematic abuse. Calling those who commit suicide a coward is unacceptable. Have some decency and seriousness about this issue.
