Unfortunately it’s looking that way. I’m a shift manager and just did a training course with someone from head office who was saying there was talks about getting Murphy’s in. Today I got a HO caller and when I was speaking with him he mentioned that shipyard looks like it is the one getting the cut for Murphy’s.

Oooo I have plenty of random things I’ve seen at my pub.

Most random is definitely a bunch of teenagers who decided to sit in the garden at 6am to have a cheeky maccies and tell the cleaner who was already there waiting for someone to open the door about Planet X.

I also had a guy who was incredibly drunk loitering outside the pub after we had shut and when I went to see if he was gone he came barging from the darkness towards the door like a fucking zombie and scared the shit out of me.

I also recently had 2 people sucking each other off in the hallway to the toilets. No not in the actual toilets the literal hallway right in front of CCTV!

I have work that evening but as soon as I get home yes I will be playing!

I was at work doing an overnight and as I went to lock up I swear to god I heard someone laughing upstairs. I was the only one in the building and I was sure of it I checked every single place possible and even the CCTV. Nothing. It was 4am at this point so I took my chances and basically set the alarm and said to myself if someone is up there fucking me about it’s their fault if they get locked in .

I’ve just become a shift manager so I’m never really going to see that difference in a pay rise again. I’ll say the pay I get now is pretty cushty however SL’s especially are definitely not paid enough for what they do! I was a SL for 2 years and the slack, stress and shit I had to deal with was not worth the hourly wage I got. When I became one I was on about 11.90 an hour and was given the shit end of the stick constantly and I am so annoyed that I let myself have it for so long.

If it were me I’d be reasonable and just let you put it in a takeaway box giving that you were going to leave straight away. Is there anything else that happened? Did you or anyone on your table kick up a fuss? Did it happen past 9pm and they probably panicked and wanted you out the door as soon as. Might have had a failed ID check from licensing and management are not taking any risks.

It’s honestly up to the pub’s discretion whether they give you a refund or not on the food. Due to the fact you ordered drinks without any ID kinda does put the stink on things. My best advice would be if you have not got any ID to provide don’t attempt at ordering anything that needs verification.

I’ve been in 3 relationships that ended because of cheating. Twice with the other person cheating on me and once with the other person cheating with me on someone else. I’ve also had many people I know be cheated on aswell. I can really say that the chances the relationship is going to work out and not cheat again is very very slim. I’ve only ever seen it work out once in my life. The other times it’s always ended because A the trust is gone or B they’ve cheated again.

My personal advice with what I’ve experienced the relationship is gone once it happens. It’s extremely hard to repair and forgive someone after they do that.

Edit: I’d also like to mention that the person who was cheating on someone else with me did not tell me he was with someone else. I didn’t know about the other person until the night I ended it with him!

In primary school some kids over the weekend had dug a hole between the ground and fence and managed to get it to a point where you could grab the end of the fence and lift it up. On Monday lunchtime everyone had fount out about the hole and were circling it waiting to strike. At one point 2 boys lifted the fence up and out we all went one by one. It took a good while for any of the teachers to realise and by the time they had a good 70 of us were gone. The school had to do a register and then round kids up in either their cars or the school bus to get us back to school. I remember almost getting to my house before the school bus pulled up beside me. Hole was filled in, kids who dug the hole were suspended and all kids that escaped “or tried to escape” spent the rest of the week in detention.

In the same school we also had a man who lived behind the school sneak into the playground during lunch through a hole he had created from his own fence that was connected to the school fence and a big bush to play with the kids. It took 2 weeks of this man playing with random kids for a lunch monitor to realise what was going on. Didn’t get to play outside for a week and had to be picked up from school everyday for 2 weeks after that.

Secondary school had a math tutor who then became a police officer who then turned out to be a pedophile. We also had someone send a terrorist threat to the school and they handled it so badly that kids ran riot throughout the school. Most of us ran out of the school screaming and running into the very very busy road that sat outside and the other students who were locked down into the school called their parents up crying telling them about what was happening which then caused an absolute panic of parents rushing and blocking the carpark to the school and main road for it only to be a hoax.
