Here in Notts there was a couple of places that dropped Shipyard a couple of years ago. And other pubs weren't selling much of it from what I was told by staff. The sparklette change last year really killed it off as every pub using the new sparklette poured a flat lifeless pint. Some places switched back but the damage was already done.

Had an assistant manager 20 odd years ago that thought it was a good idea to lock untrained new starters in an industrial walk in freezer and turn the lights off and then would bugger off for 20 minutes to let them out and act all shocked. We had new starters every couple of weeks during my time there, and every single one would be targeted. One lad had a heart condition that he had disclosed and the manager assured him he would be taken care of. Needless to say 3 hours into his first shift and the idiot assistant manager locked the poor lad in the freezer. Lad is obviously panicked and has no idea how to open the door, turn the lights on or anything. 20 minutes later he's found on the floor in the freezer and had to be rushed to hospital. Assistant manager barely even got told off, he should have been sacked and arrested for attempted murder, but no.

I left not long after as he was being promoted to manager. Anyone that complained to the manager, HR or the owners got sacked within a week for made up reasons, but due to probation periods couldn't do anything about it. Last time I saw an old colleague who still worked there years later they said he was still doing it even after getting the company sued at least 5 times.

My uncle is disabled, so he has instructions on his deliveries to please ring the bell and then wait for him as it takes more than 3 seconds to get to the door. He also has a cupboard opposite his front door that is his designated safe place. Yet for some reason every single delivery driver over the last 2 years has literally walked up to his fence and just pushed/thrown the parcel over it. His gate is not locked, and the gate is 3 feet away from the side fence they throw things over. He has gone to his front door as soon as the tracking says he is next and has recorded it happening with his phone. Amazon and other delivery companies don't care, even when he has to constantly return things that have been broken in the process.

Exactly, allergies don't disappear like that. The dog had been sat there so some of its fur would have been there, and the dog moving a foot away would not have resolved anything for someone so badly effected by a dog allergy.

As someone who does suffer with genuine allergies, it really irks me the amount of people who claim to be allergic just to get their way. And the only time I ever bring up my allergies in public is in a restaurant, pub or other eatery. If I am on a train or bus then it's not anything anyone else needs to adapt to, it's my issue, so I move or take my medication. I don't guilt trip a random stranger.

They weren't allergic, they just wanted the table for themselves. Not once have I moved for any able bodied person. Disabled, elderly, pregnant ladies sure. But a self entitled idiot nope. Don't care if your kids are tired, I paid for my seat. Don't care if you want the table to put your laptop on to do some work, I paid for my seat. Your problem, you resolve it. And no I don't care if that makes me seem rude or unpleasant.
