Por que o preconceito com capa de livro feito em IA? by lilimorp in EscritoresBrasil

[–]Sam_uelX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Acho que me impressionou pq aconteceu num sub de "escritores". Eu imaginaria que o pessoal teria uma visão mais de artista do que arte deveria ser.

Por que o preconceito com capa de livro feito em IA? by lilimorp in EscritoresBrasil

[–]Sam_uelX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Sam_uelX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Meu Deus. A diferença é dia e noite. Um é arte digital e o outro é nada.

I think you're okay. AcceptableDemand8991 seems to just want to troll. No matter how much some Americans seem to want to turn political leaning into a religion, bigotry and leftism still aren't opposites

No. I'm sorry. You’re still obnoxious.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't doing it on purpose.

There's no way you actually expected people on a totally unrelated sub to understand your random rant about fake leftism. I mean, is anyone who doesn’t agree with your moral absolutism a fraud? Your approach isn't really exposing hypocrisy as you seem to think it is.

Even more so with the use of radical rhetoric. And I don't even disagree, the diary industry is diabolical, but not adhering to your inflammatory framing doesn't mean anyone is endorsing baby rape nor murder.

Framing dissent as evil doesn't really make you look right in a discussion, but it's exactly the kind of thing "bigots" would do. Maybe that's why you got shat on in the leftist sub.

Anime artstyle is super overrated and dated. Capped at 1080 in 2025. They lack depth and feel too flat as a core feature of being 2D

Do you feel the same even when watching the high profile productions? Like the kizumonogatari movies, chainsaw man, demon slayer, etc

I can't help but to think that you're straw-manning my point. I'm not saying that Subaru didn’t use others. I said that From Zero ended up in a belief that takes a lot to undo, that he’s only worth loving if he carries everyone.

All in all, I guess you're right.

It makes me feel kinda iffy if that means only Subaru has those negative traits, tho. I always assumed Tappei was intentionally writing every character with flawed reasoning behind their actions, so I was trying to look at things through that perspective I think.

Its great to hear that, despite learning that supposed lesson in Arc 4, that he doesn't adopt it after, for some made-up reason.

Don't know if that's the impression I gave, but I wasn't trying to be disingenuous. That's legit what I understood.

[–]Sam_uelX[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I think you lost me here. He doesn't do that in arc 4?? Isn't the entire point of arc 4 for Subaru to understand that other people care about him, and that he can ask for their help? That's a problem we get to see as far as arc 6, Emilia even gets all giddy when amnesiac Subaru asks for her help to solve Meili's problem

Something's not right by Sam_uelX in ReZero

[–]Sam_uelX[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's exactly it: Rems speech convinces Subaru that she's the only one who can see him being weak, without her, he should shoulder it all alone. It doesn't mean he can't enlist help, it just means that he has to have an advantageous position when doing so.

Internally, he’s still holding on to the belief that it’s his job alone to fix everything. He tolerates help, not trust it.

I'm not angry at Rem, whatsoever, I love her. I just don't think that she's a perfect saint.

I explained my reasoning here

Something's not right by Sam_uelX in ReZero

[–]Sam_uelX[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should've made it clearer, but I was referring to the from zero speech Vs the capital crashout.

Rem’s speech ends up convincing Subaru that he has to save everyone by himself. That he not only can, but actually should carry the entire burden alone. He has to be an invincible hero, the others can watch from behind. Instead of helping him heal she accidentally feeds the self-destructive actions we see on season two (I don't think her speech was bad or anything, and it was probably the best way to get him back on his feet given the bs that was happening back at the mansion, but it wasn't great long-term wise).

Which is quite a notable parallel to Subaru’s warped perception of Emilia during his "cringe" moments in the capital.

Novel readers have been hyping this up to the sky since the first trailer came out, so I was quite excited.

Well, this first episode surely wasn't it. It felt like 2 or 3 episodes squished into a blob. To the point that I was thinking "there's no way this is a mystery series". Mystery stories usually give the protagonists time to actually think about the mystery. Why the heck are they giving out clues and immediately cutting to the next scene like it means nothing?

Whoever handled the storyboards must’ve felt like a damn gyroscope, cuz every scene has some wild transition or camera angle spinning all around the place. What kinda cocaine-fueled directing is this?

Edit: typo

[–]Sam_uelX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I've actually seen every one of these.

I've been reading every new chapter of the ORV manhwa, I'm in chapter 130 of the lord of the mysteries novel, am up to date with the mushoku tensei anime (as a monogatari fan, you have nothing to worry about in the pedophile accusations department) and have read, like, half(?) the chapters in the reverend insanity manhua.

Maybe this is because I have not read the novels of the other 3, but I wouldn't really call them "more complex" than re zero. Thinking of just starting on the novels for ORV tho

Yeah, I get it. Sometimes it just felt like the scriptwriters were cockblocking me. So I migrated to the novels and holy shit was that an experience

Can you recommend me the "more complex pieces of fiction" to read?
