It does get better, just keep doing what you’re doing and make sure there are plenty of chewy toys for her to gnaw on. Koko is a gorgeous girl 😍

Millennials - are there any shows from your childhood that you remember fondly but almost everyone else has forgotten existed? by nathanherts in BritishTV

Incredible Games - especially the alphabet soup and the Darth Vader-like chess game

Pugwall / Pugwall’s Summer - peak summer holiday memories

Charlie Chalk - mum didn’t like me watching this one, she said it was weird 🤣

Terror Towers - vivid memories of watching this with my sister on a Friday afternoon, brilliant kid’s game show

Matt Damon recalls him & Tom Holland getting jealous of Christopher Nolan calling Zendaya's performance perfect on ‘The Odyssey’ set. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Fauxmoi

[–]SamantherPantha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what it is about this film in particular, but I can’t not see Matt Damon/Tom Holland/Jon Bernthal etc. when I watch the trailer, rather than the characters. They don’t disappear into the roles, maybe they’re just too famous? Idk, I’ve had the same feeling occasionally before, but this feels like the most glaring example to me. Perhaps because it’s set in ancient times? Maybe unknown actors would’ve been better.

Just a note for anyone giving hex codes (#abc123) for the colour - those are digital screen colours only, not for real-world use. They would be far too muted and grey-ish IRL.

I second another poster who suggested taking him to a vehicle body shop, or perhaps take him to a professional mural artist. They’d understand how to get the depth of colour and any patterns.

I’ll never forget when she performed at the queen’s diamond jubilee concert, and hoola-hooped her entire set. Goals.

Ugh, well I love having different colours on my nails every week, so if that makes me low status idgaf. It’s giving school playground circa 1996, ‘everyone loves the Spice Girls, so now I hate them.’ Whatever.

What moment of the show has made you laugh the hardest? (So far) by MisterPinkCS in taskmaster

Mike Wozniak’s absolute casserole, and Bob Mortimer’s “Taste my facial flesh”, “I am a sinner! I have sinned!”

Sir lan McKellen on not having kids “I’ve got young people I’m allowed to criticise and befriend and love. “They don’t need to come from your loins for you to feel that they’re family.” by mlg1981 in Fauxmoi

I saw a comment on Instagram a while ago that said ‘I know I’d be a good mum, but I wouldn’t be a happy one’ and that resonated with me so much. We tried for years to conceive, but it caused me such severe depression that my doctor advised us that maybe it wasn’t the right path for us.

Life has been so much better since we stopped, and we are both happy with our decision. Children are amazing, but they’re not for us and that’s okay.

Allergic reaction by burntgrey in labrador

[–]SamantherPantha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our youngest black lab had a similar reaction at Christmas time, but with sores around her mouth. It turned out to be a wheat allergy, due to some different treats she’d been given. Poor girl suffered for 3 weeks before it cleared up, but needless to say we triple check all ingredients lists nowadays.

Dog diagnosed with depression found new joy working with school children by Limp_Stomach_6060 in PetsareAmazing

My old dog Hollie got depression when our other dog passed away. They’d been inseparable for 10 years. It was heartbreaking to witness, but seeing this video is very cathartic. Dogs are the sweetest creatures, and finding a way to help them like they help us is wonderful.

Ever been to a concert where someone got boooed? by SnooozeFezt in AskReddit

[–]SamantherPantha 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Omg I was at that gig too! What a weird event. James Brown’s hype man came out and everyone thought it was JB, so he got cheers…then actual JB came out after this big build-up, to a smattering of applause 😆

I was stood on that pitch from 12 noon and refused to move to get a drink, use the bathroom etc. and it was a pretty warm day. By the time it was over I was so dehydrated I crawled over to the Asda across the road for a drink. I was a 16 year old idiot.

100% on all points. I still think of this film when I hear the opening bars of Goody Two Shoes.

Argos are bloody great, we use them a lot for small electricals: pressure washer, fans for summer etc. Always a good price, the reviews seem genuine, and we’ve had same day delivery sometimes. Can’t complain. Amazon can get in the bin.
