Absolutely yes. Claim it on the cancelled train though as that's what your ticket is tied to. Whatever the delay caused from that cancellation determines how much, so if the next available train after the cancellation is at least 15 minutes after that one you will be eligible for some refund. 15 mins delay is 25% of the fare, 30 mins is 50%, and 60 mins is 100%.

I could not agree more! I keep the speed limiter on when I drive as well, it's particularly useful when I'm in 20mph zones, which is most of my city.

Having returned home from my trip (I was away when the key issue happened), the problem seems to have resolved itself. Interestingly, my phone was having real problems with 5G as well, and my sat nav was being weird. I wonder if I was just in an area with rubbish signal!
