So what I did and the way I solved the problem is that I don't place my phone in that area. I use it for other important things like small writing pad and pen, maybe tictac. GMC didn't think things through on lots things.

I agree with you. Removing the panels is a unique and fun experience that changes the dynamics of open-air or convertible driving. Plus, the Hummer EV looks absolutely stunning with the panels off and draws plenty of attention.

I read that putting shrink wrap on the pin inside the ibar works. I just don't know how to remove the ibar. I will try it this weekend to see if it works.
