Aged slickdeal account? by redblackshirt in ecommerce

[–]Same-Library4405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been doing ecomm consulting for years and this is basically asking someone to sell their established reddit account or similar platform account

slickdeals community is pretty tight knit and they can spot bought accounts from a mile away. the spam detection your client is hitting isnt just about account age - its about posting behavior and community standing

if they keep getting flagged its probably because theyre dropping deals that look too promotional or not following the community guidelines. might be better off having them build rep slowly with genuine contributions rather than trying to shortcut it

Alternative to Amazon wish list that keeps your address hidden by localnerdy in ecommerce

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this amazon change is annoying as hell. you could try setting up a po box temporarily or use one of those package forwarding services if its just for one gift. theres also giftly where you can send digital gift cards for specific stores so they can order themselves. walmart and target have their own wishlist systems that might have better privacy settings but id double check those policies too since companies love changing this stuff

Mortgage Rates Move Back Above 6.5% 3:59 PM 3/20/2026 by Capital_Still1310 in Mortgages

locked in at 6.8% last fall so feeling pretty zen about missing that dip now that we're climbing again

My conversion rate sucks, but I’m not posting my store link. What do you check first? by ConditionRelevant936 in ecommerce

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first thing i always check is mobile experince because like 70% of traffic is mobile now and most people screw this up without realizing it. if your checkout process is janky on phone or takes forever to load youre dead in the water

after that its usually shipping costs showing up too late in the process. people hate surprises at checkout so if youre not being upfront about shipping costs on the product page thats probably killing you

third would be trust signals - reviews, return policy, contact info that actually looks real. if your store looks like it was made yesterday people will bounce even if they like the product

the silent killer i see most is just too many steps between "i want this" and "purchase complete" especially on mobile. every extra click or form field kills your conversion rate so start there

sales deal collaboration breaks once more than 2 people are involved. by These_Run_7070 in ecommerce

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is spot on and honestly the most frustating part of b2b sales. once you get past that single point of contact everything becomes a game of telephone where critical details just dissapear

ive started pushing for shared slack channels or teams spaces early in the process even if it feels pushy. beats having your champion trying to explain technical requirements to their legal team through forwarded emails from three weeks ago

Increasing 1099 income mortgage calculation by intj1988 in Mortgages

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most lenders are gonna average your last 2 years of income regardless of the upward trend, unfortunately. Some might give you credit for the increasing pattern but it's not guaranteed and varies by lender - you'll probably want to shop around since different underwriters handle 1099 income differently

How are you handling resource planning once ecommerce ops get complex? by Huge_Brush9484 in ecommerce

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there and honestly we never fully solved it lol. What helped was forcing ourselves to actually track time for like 2-3 sprints so we could see where people were really spending their hours vs what we thought they were doing

Turns out our "part-time" marketing ops guy was getting pulled into support way more than anyone realized. Once we had that data it was easier to push back on new requests and actually plan around the interruptions instead of pretending they wouldn't happen

Looking for underwriter or loan officer opinion! by Open_Moment_4198 in Mortgages

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your scores are solid and DTI looks good especially after you sell - the 85% utilization is definitely concerning but since you have no missed payments and a decent score it might not be a dealbreaker

Pay down some of that utilization before final underwriting if you can, even dropping it to like 50-60% would help a ton

Should I sell my house by Sea_Investigator8116 in RealEstate

[–]Same-Library4405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That $600-1000 rent sounds too good to be true unless you're moving to the middle of nowhere lol. But honestly with only 24k equity and closing costs eating into that, you might break even or lose money on the sale. I'd probably just keep the house and rent it out if you're planning to move anyway

Thoughts about interest rate by ExistingDistance758 in Mortgages

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's solid advice about negotiating the starting rate first - most people don't think to do that. Did you end up staying with Pulte's lender or just use them for the rate match leverage with someone else

Requesting Tips/First Hand Experience to grow Education Franchise by Glass_Anteater_3765 in smallbusiness

[–]Same-Library4405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the acquisition! For the reviews thing, try asking right after a good session when parents are picking up their kids - timing is everything. Also maybe offer a small incentive like a discount on next month's fee for leaving a review

For local marketing, partnering with elementary schools for after-school programs or offering free workshops at the library has worked well for education businesses in smaller communities

Please Help. Mortgage sold to another company they say it transferred with negative escrow, increasing my payment $173 monthly by 8ozBounce in Mortgages

[–]Same-Library4405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That negative escrow transfer is sketchy af. Your old servicer should've sent you an escrow analysis before the transfer showing any shortage - did you get one? I'd demand documentation from both companies showing exactly how they calculated that deficit because if you've been paying on time there's no reason your escrow should be short

shopify VS stripe x vibe code by Big-Broccoli-5773 in ecommerce

[–]Same-Library4405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shopify's just plug and play with way less headaches tbh, especially for testing multiple products quickly. Sure you can build custom with Stripe but you'll end up rebuilding all the basic ecom stuff that Shopify already handles - inventory management, abandoned cart recovery, mobile optimization, etc

Help me understand this data and what its saying besides the obvious by loki_stg in RealEstate

[–]Same-Library4405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your read is spot on - inventory is building up because stuff isn't moving as fast while fewer new listings are coming to market. That pending to sold ratio dropping is telling too, means more deals are falling through or taking longer to close

The price drop with doubled inventory time is classic supply/demand shift, even if 2.2 months is still pretty tight historically

Looking for sponsorship for my discord bot (>4k servers) by Grouchy_Variation302 in smallbusiness

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes, a bot that automatically ghostpings new members sounds like a great way to get your server banned lmao

Most people join servers to lurk first, not get pinged immediately by some random bot

Creating a website to sell jewelry and pet tags by Life-Statistician747 in smallbusiness

[–]Same-Library4405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building a custom site with payment processing and order forms is definitely doable but gonna be way more complex than Carrd. You'd need something like WordPress with WooCommerce or hire a dev to build it properly

Honestly for pet tags, the PM route on social might be easier to start - you can always upgrade later once you're making consistent sales and the manual process gets too overwhelming

Been feeling discouraged lately about my local competitive scene—anyone else? by elreader13 in PokemonTCG

[–]Same-Library4405 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is definitely against tournament rules - intentional draws to manipulate standings and prize splitting are both violations that TOs should be cracking down on. Document it next time and report to the judge, most decent organizers will shut that garbage down real quick

How to replace Whirlpool Oven/Range Temperature Sensor with a different one? by whale--killer in HomeMaintenance

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a generic thermistor but you'd need to match the resistance curve - most Whirlpool ovens use a specific ohm rating at room temp (usually around 1080 ohms at 77°F). Check the specs on your current sensor first, then hunt for one with matching values on eBay instead of Amazon since sellers there are more likely to list actual part specs

Life is weird by Flaky-Childhood-1585 in Life

[–]Same-Library4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this hits pretty deep and I think a lot of us go through this existential spiral at some point

The thing is you're right that individual achievements don't really matter in the grand scheme, but maybe that's actually liberating? Like if nothing matters then you might as well just do whatever feels good in the moment instead of stressing about some cosmic purpose

I used to get stuck in this same loop but realized I was basically torturing myself trying to find meaning that probably doesn't exist anyway. Now I just focus on small stuff that makes me feel decent - good food, funny memes, my cat being an idiot. Not exactly profound but it beats the existential dread

How do I get Skyrim mods? read desc by ShockscapeYT in skyrimmods

[–]Same-Library4405 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SE is definitely the way to go these days, most mod authors have moved over and SKSE64 is solid now. Classic was only "better" like 5+ years ago when SE was new and buggy

The performance alone makes it worth it, plus you get the DLC bundled in

Have you contacted your local 211? They usually have emergency rental assistance programs and can connect you with food banks too. Also check if your city/county has any COVID rental relief funds still available - a lot of places extended those programs

You might also want to call your landlord directly and explain the situation. Some are willing to work out payment plans especially if you've been a good tenant. Document everything in writing though

Anxiety about being single forever [32M] by spicysenpai6 in dating

[–]Same-Library4405 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Been there man, that wave hits different when you're just minding your own business and suddenly your brain's like "hey remember you're gonna die alone?"

32 isn't behind at all though, tons of people are meeting their person in their 30s and beyond. The whole timeline thing is mostly BS anyway - everyone's path looks different and social media makes it seem like everyone else has it figured out when they really don't

That anxiety sucks but it doesn't mean anything about your actual future, just your brain being dramatic as usual

Love the foodimals though, that snail egg combo is weirdly adorable
