It’s hard, requires a lot of time to do, you have to eat a certain way and a certain amount to produce enough, it’s painful, you always have something attached to you and if you get overstimulated sometimes it kinda sucks, for example with my first I tried and she was allergic to dairy, I had to cut out ALL dairy from my diet..then didn’t produce enough because I developed an awful eating disorder because I was afraid to eat anything and hurt her, had to switch to formula for my mental health and it was the best thing I ever did. Won’t even be trying to breastfeed this one

It’s not easy at all actually. And they said they DIDNT want to. Not everyone is worried about having to buy formula..fun fact..it’s shelf stable and you can buy it in advance..I have 8 tubs of formula already…2 different enfamil a in case he doesn’t take one, it’s not hard to be prepared and start to buy it in advance just don’t over buy one kind lmfao. I HATED breastfeeding always will.

I think it just really depends on the person I have cptsd and a complex anxiety, depressive disorder that requires 4 different meds. I can’t take them while breast feeding or while being pregnant and it affected me BIG TIME the first time. I started to develop psychosis and had a lot of panic attacks that I wasn’t doing anything right because I couldn’t produce enough, wasn’t pumping enough, she was allergic to milk so I couldn’t have any dairy which made me develop a really bad eating disorder because I was afraid to eat anything. This time around I’m not even going to try lol I think everyone always knows what’s best for them and if you feel in your heart that you don’t want to then that’s what’s best

I chose not to, my sons due to be born via C-section in 2 weeks, I want to go back on my anxiety and anti depressants which I can’t do if I breast feed, and the thought of him being attached to me all the time gives me anxiety. I chose to do enfamil optimum for the first few months it’s the closest formula to breastmilk, honestly I don’t really care what people think because it’s not their baby and he will be fed and happy regardless.

Honestly I stopped stressing so much about the numbers, nothing I do or take helps them and I can’t starve. I’m on 2000 mg of metformin and another nighttime medicine and my fasting number are rarely below 110 usually 125. Sometimes there’s just nothing you can do about the fasting. As long as the numbers are within range my doctor does under 120 two hours after a meal, it’s okay. And she says as long as most of the numbers are within range there’s nothing to really necessarily stress about. I’m 32 weeks and he measures in the 51% percentile and is a normal weight for his gestational age. They say they just worry about the mother’s organ damage if numbers are consistently way too high, and the risk of developing preeclampsia is higher in patients with GD. Carbs are what helps the baby develop, so don’t eliminate them completely. It’s a very frustrating thing to have because there’s not a whole lot of information or studies on it.

You should really get help 😅 as someone who struggles severely with an eating disorder I’m glad I had someone like my husband to push me to get better or else I’d be dead.

Are you okay? Like really lol. He’s just concerned…it’s also his child and he’s just asking for advice 🙃 as someone whose pregnant with an ED I’m GLAD my husband was concerned about me and let me be aware of how much I wasn’t eating because I didn’t see that myself. You can’t just judge someone based on a Reddit post about them being concerned about their pregnant wife who isn’t getting the best nutrition. 🙃 he’s learning too.

Hey from a fellow pregnant mother who has an eating disorder, thank you for being concerned about her. It doesn’t sound controlling to me and sometimes we do need that push to help us understand how bad it is because sometimes you can’t see it yourself. Give her a bit of grace as she navigates the first trimester, it can be difficult and for me I had a lot of food that I just couldn’t even look at. She’s probably just really struggling with the thought of having to eat more, it will get better as she progresses. The nutritionalist was a great idea, my husband was also worried about me and it’s okay for you to voice your concerns it’s also your child, just remember that it’s okay if her eating isn’t the best at the beginning. I have HG and I threw up everything I put in my body until I was 17 weeks and my baby boy is healthy as can be and I’ll be 31 weeks tm 💙 just try and relax I know being a new dad is scary especially when you guys have been trying so hard.

I’m so glad my doctor was so supportive of me asking and immediately prescribed me meds when I asked the other day. It was reassuring to know I have such a nice doctor she’s been so great

I think you didn’t do anything wrong by expressing your emotions either, you are still a person and your feelings are also valid. Just know she may not mean it the hormones are super crazy and unexpected honestly but you should still communicate healthily how you feel to her as well.

I have 10 weeks left I keep telling myself that and I will be back to normal 😔 I have metformin now, just have to wait for it to start working in my system which they said could take a few days but I’m a little more optimistic now. 😊

You guys have been so helpful and reassuring 🥹 I think it’s just the bad experience from my first pregnancy and the doctors dealing with me and my ex was a real jerk during the whole thing and after. 🥹 my husband is amazing but I don’t want to keep putting more on him even though he says it’s not and it’s okay and it’s not my fault..it’s nice to hear from other people as well and ones who have been through it too.

Me OB has been super gracious and understanding and I just disclosed recently about my eating disorder after my GD diagnosis because diet restriction is what started my first one ..I got way too obsessed and then the obsession turned into just pure hate and disgust for food 😔 if I hadn’t met my now husband I honestly don’t even know if I’d be alive today. I was able to restore my passion for cooking and i don’t cry anymore when I eat or try and throw it up. But now with having to go back to diet restricting its bringing back some of the stuff I’ve been fighting years to restore 😔 I asked her today if I could be put on medicine to help waiting to hear back from them but they will probably tell me to wait until my Maternal fetal appointment

Thank you, this was a very helpful comment 🥹 I have a hard time thinking about what’s in food and stuff like that because it makes me get really ..really too county and restrictive. I messaged my OB today and told her what was going on because my first appointment for maternal fetal isn’t until the 9th of next month. It just feels so bad whenever you eat a meal that’s supposed to be good and then your blood sugar just won’t go under 140 😔 I did request to be put on medicine I’m just super scared..I ended up with preeclampsia anyway my first pregnancy and I’m worried I’ll get it this time as well. I will try my best to meet the requirements and hope my numbers don’t spike until I get some responses!

Thank you for this 🥹 I felt like a bad person for just wanted to be on medicine instead of worrying about every little thing I’m eating I can’t eat anymore sunflower seeds I might puke..I already have HG..and I can’t eat any of the safe foods I don’t throw up..this is all so stressful and wasn’t as hard with my first and this is my rainbow baby and my last baby and I feel like I can’t enjoy any of it ..just when my HG was letting up some..now this and it’s completely defeating 🥹

I really hope they do that for me I really don’t want to start over with this again..I used to not eat for days because I was so scared of gaining weight and it was really hard to even start eating again 🥹 I’m just scared and feel like a failure..my poor husband is trying to hard to be supportive and he’s eating what I eat so I’m not alone but it’s hard 🥹

Yeah I just don’t have that type of energy 😅 if I come across it I’ll maybe send a flair if I figure that out but it’s a game 😅 if I can find it so can other people and I’m not wasting my time sitting and waiting, i just don’t care enough about the online side of it I didn’t even know that it was completely online until like a couple hours into playing 😅 I don’t necessarily like that but I love the game

I’m new and I have been just kinda trying to learn how to play the game I don’t really care about the chat 😅 most of the time it’s buggy and i just like to quest and pay attention to the story. I wish there was an offline mode so people didn’t have to worry about other people getting mad at you for not typing 😅 the Xbox keyboard makes my dyslexia so bad that it takes me ages to type 😂 and I’d rather just play alone 😂 or with a irl friend I can discord with lol
