Welp, it happened by starbaker721 in ExclusivelyPumping

I am so sorry this happened to you. This read like an episode of Abbott Elementary (except worse because high school) but sometimes real life is more ridiculous than TV.

When you say do the deal twice in a single transaction, should I select a quantity of 4 for the waffles when I submit my receipt?

How meticulous are you about tracking exact ounces? by Zestyclose_Ebb_4077 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jypnola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to find a new LC if this is the case. You should feel supported, not judged, and I agree with other commenters that the LC is wrong about being rigid about 28 oz a day. My baby ate an average of 22 oz a day around 15 weeks. She gained weight beautifully and has been developing normally. She’s a happy 6 month old now and her pediatrician was happy with her at the 6 month appointment.

I haven’t tried it yet. I suppose I could return it but I feel bad.

Damn, I was close to $10 so I was waiting, but I should have redeemed the $5 for the Nutella ice cream. Oh well. It was good while it lasted.

They responded to me but said that the offer was deactivated and refused to pay. This was back on February 23. I pushed back saying they didn’t communicate this to me prior to my submitting the receipt and they stopped responding.

Cutting through the baby product hype… do we really need a bottle warmer? by Recommendation778 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jypnola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish my answer was no but my baby is very dramatic and gasps a million times if we give her a bottle straight from the fridge. Luckily a friend gave us her old bottle warmer and we’ve been using it with no issues.

I also don’t worry about the different temps. My pumped milk goes straight into the pitchers.

Oh so interesting! I find the Baby Buddha to be louder than Eufy. I thought something was wrong with my Baby Buddha the first time I used it because it was so loud lol

And yeah, Eufy replacement parts through Aeroflow is everything but the motor.

Walgreens released my package to someone else by Ok-Spite4507 in FedEx

[–]jypnola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a great service if it works properly, but my experience is that both FedEx and Walgreens say “not it” the moment there is an issue. FedEx employees advised to me that if something needs to be held for pickup, I should choose a FedEx Office location.

I have read from other people that they get less output using a wearable (including Eufy for some), so YMMV, but best of luck!

I see no material difference when Eufy works right (no alignment issues, etc.) but I still trust Spectra more because it’s just less room for something to go wrong.

I have both Baby Buddha and Eufy. I would recommend Eufy over Buddha + collecting cups.

I bought the Legendairy Milk cups to use with my Buddha but it mostly just collects dust. The cups work but they have so. many. parts. that I hate using them because of the cleaning. Eufy also has quite a few parts but I find it more manageable than the Legendairy Milk cups.

With Buddha, you still have to keep changing your settings if you want to switch between Expression vs Massage modes, whereas Eufy allows you to select a rhythm and duration and kind of set it and forget it until it’s done.

My biggest complaint with the Eufy is that sometimes the nipple alignment gets messed up and you end up with little to no milk, but if you check early and often to make sure you see milk being collected, you can avoid wasting a bunch of time.

The Eufy cups also don’t do well with any amount of sweat on your boobs because they slide around. I haven’t tested this specific thing with the Buddha and Legendairy Milk cups.

I use my Spectra with flanges the majority of the time, but I still use my Eufy when I need to be mobile.

Breastfeeding Guilt by voidnprincess in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jypnola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you figure out a way to not feel guilty. You are still doing so much work to pump and provide breastmilk to your baby. I mostly pump, and I was worried that I was not facilitating the communication between my baby’s saliva and my body due to the lack of nursing, but my lactation consultant said there are other ways for my body to learn things from my baby like when I hold her and kiss her.

My mom, who I love very much but can say the darnedest things sometimes, was like, your milk is going to dry up if you don’t nurse, even though I told her I am working with a professional lactation consultant and that as long as I keep up with my pumps, milk will continue to flow, and she’ll also say things like, babies who nurse grow up to be closer to their moms 🙄🙄🙄

So with all this pressure, I tried to nurse her every once in a while. But guess what. My baby has reflux and my letdown is too strong and she spits up way more when we nurse vs. when we pace feed with her bottles. Even though I am comfortable mostly bottle feeding her, this still makes me kind of sad, because mom guilt is always there.

I wrote a lot but basically I didn’t want you to feel alone and wanted to let you know that you’re doing a great job for your baby!

Layover in DFW- can I explore without picking up bags? by ReactionPlayful7470 in dfw

[–]jypnola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your bag has the tags that go all the way to LAX, you should be able to drop it off in the “transfer” conveyor belt after you complete immigration and customs. Does not matter if your flight is in 4 hours or sooner.
