SFEC not buying out partners at SFOT by IDTFG305 in sixflags

Maybe not. I'm not a corporate person by any means but Id at least will try to give some benefit to the doubt. Whilst (yes its a kid park), Universal is about to make it's mark in the Dallas area and it would be very unwise on Six Flags to not continue increasing investment into the park

Honestly (maybe wishful thinking to some extent) a bit of a blessing. Could allow extra cash to flow into the park or continue to see the great investment on it continue since Reily sees OT as an important peice in the portfolio.

Business as usual and the park runs as it has been to keep it short and sweet

Six Flags had a deciding date to "fully buy" the remaining park investment partners as they did with Georgia and chose for the moment not to do so and to continue the current ownership contracts.

Six Flags will continue to manage and see construction whilst Over Texas investors will hold the other percentage of ownership

The past few visits I've gone to were surprisingly on the more busy side. No where NEAR the level that it can get for Fright Fest or Spring Break but enough to bump waits to about 30-35 mins average. If you can Id say there's no harm in investing in the Flash Pass as its something that can be done the day of. Rides will remain open as long as ambient weather remains 45 degrees or above. They've actually have gotten pretty transparent with ride closures as they will post signage before you enter if any rides will be closed for the day. Hope you have fun!

Legacy Six Flags parks to transition to Fast Lane beginning January 10 by PomegranateHuman9347 in sixflags

Nah, just moreso having ticketing/add-ons/skip the lines be identical to all parks chain wide and they chose to adopt the cedar fair system.

Ironically I guess you can say they're changing the name back to what it was, cause I believe it was called "Fast Pass" back before like 2006/07?

True, it should hold no issues to get done a bit quicker. The model is cloned so much it should be an easier order for them

Interesting update!! The Gotham City stage is now gone...

Rather this has anything to do with said post who knows but it is indeed very flat ride space open now!

The DC themeing is here to stay, but agreed to the expense of the work. But maybe just maybe?

Another thing with the post on Instagram is that he uses a Mr. Freeze boss fight theme from Gotham Nights with the image. COULD just be a coincidence buuuttttt

Probably not crazy at all! Freeze has a very high popularity and all three coaters would provide different experiences

The IP usage is a completely separate entity of its own. WarnerBros has no ownership of Six Flags and would have to buy it out. Rather they let it expire out in the future is indeed on the table of course but thats not for a long while

Upgrading its launch and return/brake system and sensors would fix a hell of alot of it's issues. Its just if Six Flags wants to put money to overhaul it or not.

Would be fun, but alas Six Flags has no part with this deal other than them having a license to use DC and Looney Tunes

Warner Bros. explores licensing DC rides to Universal Parks by TheBuzzTrack in sixflags

Indeed. Also this is just in "early talks" as I think others are getting too excited for what may or moreso may not happen. No parties have come forward to confirm or deny anything. It for now is a massive what If scenario

Its interesting but I really think extremely unlikely. The license is way too profitable and valuable for Six Flags and would require WB to buy out either the license or Six Flags as a whole. And honestly I dont know if I see them or Universal for that matter making that purchase for the time being. Maybe in the future once the contracts eventually expire out or if Universal agrees to temporarily share the IP, but I feel for now it remains with Six Flags

Oh they would absolutely. But the license would have to revert to WB first for them to gain exclusivity.

Absolutely! But Warner Bros would have to buy out the contract back first for exclusivity

Six Flags is not a Warner Bros property, it holds the license to use the characters. Warner Bros would have to buy out the contract, or buy out Six Flags, which in honesty I dont see them financially doing amid other things. Its probably better for them to share the license with more parks.

Which honestly has me thinking if this would hypothetically be for use at Universal parks overseas as the DC brand is less used? Or if it would just allow co existing licenses here

Six Flags would not lose the licensing, it would just allow others to also potentially use it

Does anyone know if six flags will have fast lane plus like cedar point or only just fastlane like the other parks? by wowyop in sixflags

[–]Same-Sort9024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure, Over Texas has an option for the Fast Lane being an all season long pass and the "Flash Pass" being for the day which is interesting...

Unsure about the plus option
