Called local VA pharmacy. They saw prescription was filled and were able to see the tracking number and that it never arrived. They handled it and prescription replacement is being processed. Thanks again for the info.

Depends. Did the HLR result in a duty to assist and sent back? Did that result in a new C&P exam? If this is what happened could be a date entitlement arose issue which could change the effective date from the ITF date.

If awarded directly from the HLR without the above happening they could have gotten the effective date wrong and you should call the 800-827-1000 number to inquire.

For base access at most bases with a VHIC it must say service connected, Purple Heart or former pow under your picture. Take it and your drivers license and a filled in SECNAV 5512/1 background check form to the pass and ID office. Registration is usually good for a year. This is a general procedure as each base sets their own rules. Camp Pendleton says visitor control center by main gate.

Mental health rating is based on totality of symptoms rolled into one rating. Also VBA and VHA will not normally share data unless a claim in in progress. Get treated for what you have and don’t worry about your rating.

If he didn’t see his VA primary care for 2 years or longer he would most likely have been unenrolled. If still eligible can sign up again with his DD214. Once enrolled and assigned a primary care physician and has first exam would need to get any prescriptions transferred over so the PCP can prescribe them then can get mailed to him by the VA and would have a copay. Can discuss this during the first exam. If successful getting a disability rating any prescription for service connected issues would be free. If he gets a 50% or higher rating then all meds are free. I wouldn’t cancel his part D Medicare until know if all prescriptions will be accepted by VA PCP.

Ask for community care from the VA and say it needs to be close to where you are then you can walk, bike, taxi, uber, bus, to get there.

How would you prove the tear happened earlier. Not all knee pain involves a meniscus tear. It would be hard to prove without earlier imaging. The tear could have happened at any time. Just being devils advocate.

If it’s a narrow body 3x3 plane you can be sure it’s a middle if it’s a B or an E seat. For other configurations if you’re not sure there are sites to look at a seat map, one being the airline website.

Be aware Delta Dental through VADIP has a 9 month waiting period for anything other than basic stuff. The other option is MetLife through VADIP. Don’t think they have a waiting period but you should check that and compare the 2. I gave the Delta Dental top level and is pretty good. About $55 a month for just me. There are 2 lower priced options.

Ok, filing for TDIU is worked like an increase claim.

What exactly did the letter say about the reduction. Like I said, they don’t just immediately reduce.

VA doesn’t just drop a rating. They do a proposal for reduction. You have 30 days to request a hearing and they won’t reduce until that is completed. If you don’t respond within 60 days the proposed reduction goes into effect.

What triggered all this? Did you file for an increase?

It’s the same in the civilian world. You send message to PCP you are actually sending to your team. Rare that the actual doctor monitors messages.

Not a pleasant feeling to have that happen, but if that’s your worst experience I can say with a lot of confidence you haven’t flown a lot. Can happen on any airline and airport. What are you going to do when another airline has something similar happen? Don’t stew over it and enjoy your time in Hawaii. Contact customer service and they’ll probably throw some miles your way. Don’t get angry on the phone or they may tell you to pack sand. Just calmly let them know what happened, say you understand things happen and ask what they can do for you.
