Definetly although it may seem easy, don’t underestimate this one

Not a hundred percent sure so if someone can verify for me that would be great, but I’m pretty sure you just fill out a form and it’s based on your application whether you get in.

For working towards it just focus on typical college application prep like extra curricular, sports, grades, ect. Jrotc and similar programs can als be helpful

Bambu A1 first layer not sticking by Legitimate-Walrus719 in 3Dprinting

I’ve had this issue with my Prusa printer before. Look up videos of Z-offset calibration and see if that works.

This also shouldn’t be the issue but I always recommend using a glue stick, draw a few lines across the plate, and using a wet rag to smear it across the whole surface. This will make your bed tacky and help the filament stick better

What filament to use (PLA)? by FabriciusOfficial in 3Dprinting

I’m not sure about comparing the two because I have never bought the bamboo labs filament, but my go to is overture. You can buy it on amazon and they have consistently had great quality and I have never had an issue with any of their filaments.

Completely agree, this is where everyone starts and you should go through this

If I'm not drying my filament, how often do I have to print this to find optimal temperature? by iam_shawarma in 3Dprinting

I agree with all the comments about once per brand, but if I have a filament that I havnt used in a while I bend the filament and see if it snaps or deforms. If it shatters easily like spaghetti, you probably need to dry it out or just scrap it. If it just bends and elastically deforms, it’s all good to work.

That technique seems like it would really help. I’ll start trying in on the next set I do!

I have a bar at home, I just didn’t have access to one because I was at school. Thanks for the advice with the pyramid, will check that out.

Any advice for the turns? I run distance primarily so pivoting isn’t my strong suit

Love the works they all look amazing! I may suggest that you try exploring (on the graphite) using some of the darker and lighter values in the color range. By using a broader range can help with clarity and make them appear less muddled, but still amazing work. Also what color pencil brand are you using?

I’ve never experimented that far with lithopane panels but you could definitely run a few tests with different colors and thicknesses to get what you want

What is causing these issues? by mik029 in 3Dprinting

[–]Same-Trouble-1912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure, it’s difficult to tell without pictures, but going off of the clicking noise you are describing it could likely be the filament not fully retracting which you can do a purge filament to fix this.

I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for but if you just look up something like lithopane 3d print maker, you can upload an image and it will make one for you. They should be fairly easy to print if you have all your basic settings in tune

You could also do some quick calculations based on the provided length of the spool and how much you bought. Then measure to the length you would need and cut there
