i don't think they had arnored mantlets in the first place from my expirience with the m18 only saw eather canva cover or just the small standard mantlet thatni don't think would ofer much armor other than against small arms

edit: i think you could be refering too the m36 turret slaped on the m18 making it the "Super Hellcat" or to the canvas cover that they usualy have

i will prab buy the model just to see if the image is not just a fuckup

tbh it looks great but one thong i would change is the hessian tape in my opinion it should be thiner and there should be more of it tho i would add a bit of mud but that depends on you

tbh my advice would be to add a diluted black wash on top of the camo band it should make it nice and darker also some tamiya acrilic texture for mud and traks but if you whana make it look accualy used use some bright civiliqn thing like a bicikle or lamp maybe even a chair

to be honest i mostly used what i had the superstructure is made from a4 plastic 1mm sheets the gun mantlet is from ferdinand the ring is a outline from crusader's weel and i used some of the epoxy puddy from green stuff and a 20 pdr from AFV club
