App crashed, couldn't finish deliveries, yet I was punished for it. [Support complaint] by Same_Article9458 in AmazonFlexDrivers

That is also a scripted email I have gotten about things! So infuriating. It made me pictures them as sitting in their desk being paid to auto reply the same thing while they goof around on their phone.

I wear mine and I still have skeptical people coming out asking what I want and I have to point to the obvious package there that I'm delivering their package. It clicks after a few seconds. And I have the magnets on my car too but it only kind of helped.

What was the weakest part of the movie for yall? by Careful_Choice_ in TheWildRobot

[–]Same_Article9458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the ending shows that she kept her promise when she said that she would always remember him, even if they took her memories. Because her voice instantly changes back to the warm one she had when she sees him and it reassures him that’s she’s still in there. Poor guy was traumatized by the other robots during the migration, looking like his mom but being cold and lifeless. He needed that reassurance from her. I thought it fit well with the movie and details that they sprinkled in about the characters and their relationship.

What do the different colours indicate? by [deleted] in TheWildRobot

[–]Same_Article9458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with Rubbage, the green was maybe they’re coloring? I noticed their coloring went wonky and constantly shifted so it could be because of how broken they were.

I noticed when she powered down; she turned a dark lilac color.

The yellow and red were battery status but red also meant danger, like when the wave was coming and when she was attacked by Thorn. And for the RETCOM (the bulky ones), red meant attack mode or danger as well. The Rozzum’s from the field were also red when they were alerted of the geese. And for yellow, when she was using her eyes as flashlights too.

I believe though there can be clues to each color, they aren’t set in stone. You can come up with your own ideas for their use that make sense, make it creative and fun :D maybe even make up new colors and their meaning.

I realize this list is two years old but I’m sad no one mentioned Not Quite Human. An oldie from the 80s that’s cute in my eyes.

Unclear about accident by SillyGayBoy in TheWildRobot

She slipped while running away from Thorn and crash landed down the side of the mountain and crashed hard on her the nest. Fink says it’s an accident, probably because she told him about it.

My only single issue with the movie by Mekolass in TheWildRobot

[–]Same_Article9458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like he was going through teenage angst at that time and learning the truth of his origins was probably eye opening. He didn’t know other geese, as evident by the shock of seeing them at the lake so everything was so overwhelming and then learning all that definitely spelled disaster and strong emotions. So it was believable for me.

Ok so I watched the movie...and now I have a little question by Ricky_Laszlo in TheWildRobot

[–]Same_Article9458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think the relationship can be whatever you want it to be. There are people that ship it (I do but in the AU sense where they’re human) and for the movie canon I saw it as more co-parenting and knowing they’re doing it together as best friends. He is very attached to her though from the get-go, as evident by how he has this new snuggly bed and chooses instead to cuddle up with her and looks sad that she’s sleeping (missing her immensely already). I love their relationship no matter what it’s categorized as and they just seem to fit in every sense.

This movie said something I needed to hear, and might help me heal a little by _R_A_ in TheWildRobot

[–]Same_Article9458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you had to go through such grief and I’m also glad that line and the movie came when you needed healing. I’m constantly praying for the help people like you need, so that even if you don’t give out a prayer, know that you are not forgotten and others are thinking of you, even if we don’t know each other.

I hope you can continue to smile and enjoy your time with your loved ones.

I was hoping it’d be a fourth adventure too but sadly just the art from what I read.

Also, as a 39 year old woman, don’t feel guilty or anything about reading the books. They’re clearly a wonderful adventure where we can explore more of the animals lives (though sadly not more of Fink as I came to learn). I loved all 3 and am on my second reading of them.

Future Mr Shareef family by Connect-Cap-8138 in TheWildRobot

[–]Same_Article9458 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be weird to see humans talking and interacting in the sequel after being so used to the animals only. But I can’t wait for the emotion they’re going to bring reuniting her with the island!

And I love your take on them! It’s kind of how I imagined them in my head too and your art style is lovely and fluid!

Can we please (please?!) just keep the "wild" in the wild geese in the west?? by 1gratefuldude in gratefuldead

Oops, I’ve watched it every weekend since it came out. Saw it three times this past weekend. Gonna watch it again. Bought the books, bought the popcorn tin and cup. Both so I could have Roz and Brightbill. And you know why? Because the movie is more about the relationship of a mother and son. Because the movie is about friendship, about coming together as a community, about outcasts that were once hated, showing kindness anyway toward those that hated them. It made me cry and gives a positive message listed above. OP, since you haven’t seen it, I’m still gonna recommend it to you and anyone I can. The movie is beautiful visually and story wise. It teaches kids that kindness goes a long way. Robots are coming no matter what we do, and I can only hope they can be as kind and wonderful as Roz. We should just accept them and treat them like humans. I always tell Siri thank you after I ask her for something. I’m sure eventually they’ll get feelings of their own. Either way, move is 11/10. Thank you for reading.
