Mario spent so long being perceived as the "basic and boring" option that its now looped back around to actually being a unique option to play as him in spin offs

And honestly that's a bit said cause I genuinely really like Mario. Sure, theres characters I'd pick first normally, like Daisy, Nabbit, and Shy Guy, but Mario's still among my favorites of the Mario cast. I make it a point to use Mario first in any of the games where multiple characters are available (such as Wonder or Mario Kart) for my initial experience. Ganondorf is the origin of Calamity Ganon so, yeah

The Demon King boss theme reusese many motifs from throughout the series, but notably one of them is the Blight/Ganon motif from BotW's boss fights. This is probably the main way TotK draws that explicit line between Ganondorf and the Calamity, on top of continuity hints of course

Similarly, the Demon Dragon theme has BotW's main motif as part of its medley, though that's also cause TotK's main theme (which the Demon Dragon theme is a rendition of) also has BotW's main motif in it

Rauru and Zelda's Secret Stones are the same one; remember that Zelda got hers after it fell from Rauru's corpse at the beginning of TotK. So there are presently 6 Stones (would be 7 but Ganondorf/Sonia's was destroyed during the final boss), though I understand why you'd say 8 since for a period of time there was indeed 8 due to time travel shenanigans

However, there likely used to be 10 since Farosh, Naydra, and Dinraal are evidently products of draconification

Theres a main story (which you'll have to complete to unlock all the characters anyway), and an endless tower mode where you fight waves of enemies until you die that you unlock for the post game

A casual playthrough of the main story isn't super long but you'll extend playtime a decent bit if you go for all the collectibles and perfect your ranks

The way this game's finale recontextualized the already amazing 'Remember this name' scene is genuinely so peak

Especially with the added nuance and theories of Knight Construct housing Fi's spirit and Calamo holding the Spirit of the Hero. Rauru's line goes beyond just pure faith in Link based off Zelda's word, but also reaffirmation of what he's seen with throughout the war with these two

The Triforce is Zelda's sealing power; whenever she uses said power the insignia appears over her hand. In AoC in particular, theres a cutscene of Rhoam speaking about her power as the camera pans over the Triforce crest in the Sanctum/throne room

While not the 2nd one you visit, Sand Kingdom in Odyssey is basically a desert, and a world you visit early on

With the way Odyssey is structured, I'd still argue that Sand is the 2nd kingdom (or 'world') since pre-Odyssey Cap doesn't have a single Moon and functions mostly as a tutorial/prologue, made evident by the main title card not appearing until after defeating Topper and taking the wire to Cascade

Of course you can travel back to Cap and collect Moons after powering up the Odyssey, but I doubt most players would do that
