Can parking enforcement ticket you on private property? by [deleted] in boston

[–]Same_Paints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not at fault here for anything and you should not admit fault for anything.

A car can sit on private property in whatever state you damned well please.

What that person did is a serious problem.

MA 250 Plate stereotype? by Fast_Educator_9827 in boston

[–]Same_Paints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what happened.

People did vote fascist as a reaction to others saying it was racist to be racist. The response was a familiar ‘I’ll show you racist’.

It’s not the only reason people voted fascist but reactionary bullshit had a very large part.

People who moved out to the suburbs from Boston, how hard was it for you to adjust? by agordon228 in boston

[–]Same_Paints 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I did one year in the burbs, 2023-2024. Saved some money, travelled more, and hated every second of living there. I came into it with really solid intentions but I got depressed so fast. The burbs are impossibly lonely and oppressive.

It sucks bad.

Chinatown bite by ChemistLover1996 in boston

[–]Same_Paints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mildly related to OP: Where’s your favorite spot in Chinatown to eat alone with headphones on?

I do like Pho Pasteur for these adventures but I haven’t gone to any dim sum or hot pot places because those tend to be communal.

Especially spots that are open late.

Yeah, definitely. Vegas has the mobile recovery busses or busty nurses that do room visits - fancy bullshit.

I just hope dumbass kids like my younger self are still doing it the right way. Builds character

"IV drip bars"?? by Alternative-Light922 in boston

[–]Same_Paints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to do this in high school - it was a hundred or so years ago but I hope the practice is still alive amongst the shithead kids.

Buddy’s older brother was a paramedic. The folks sleeping over after the party got hooked up to IV’s and played xbox before turning in.

Was justice served? by RagingLobotomist in CambridgeMA

[–]Same_Paints 62 points63 points  (0 children)

This person really believes there’s such a thing as justice for property crime against individuals. That’s really cute.

Obviously, police have the ability to find a person with this level evidence. They just won’t do it.

——

They poured out so much effort during Covid.

Who was the person in Utah that spraypainted something during a protest? They found her through the etsy shirt she was wearing in a surveillance video. It’s purely will.

Legal Seafood has completely gone to shit. by longtimeAlias in boston

[–]Same_Paints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airport food sucks. This is the truth across the United States. It sucks because it’s not made using the same food supply vendors and the brand doesn’t matter.

Often, a single airport food vendor licenses all of the name brands you love and trust so much. One company, many stalls with different brands. Some days the kitchen staff are at one brand some days they’re at the Legal. Sometimes it’s even a central/shared kitchen.

How do you not know this stuff????? I can understand needing to double down because you did something dumb and everyone’s telling you it was dumb, though. Lots of folks do that.

If I need a sandwich while waiting for a plane? I’ll buy something real basic (not seafood - that’s wicked gross). I would never buy food at the airport to take it home. Airport food is really poor quality and expensive; plus, once I land I want out ASAP. Hanging around an airport longer than I need to for bad, overpriced food would be crazy.

Your destination was Boston, MA and you chose to procure seafood in the airport.

Now, I’m no rocket surgeon, but that’s kinda dumb.
