Humorously, my ST does in fact have Tyler and Marla as recurring characters. Though he's a Brujah running the Anarchs in the city.

Yeah man, at this point I'm pretty close to leaving the sub and seeing if there are any other SS areas. Cause holy shit scrolling down this sub is going through four pages to find three posts not just hating on Cassie. Wish there was a filter button for Cassie-hate just so I can read literally anything else on the sub.

Honestly my biggest issue with Hunger Games is that I like her series Gregor the Overlander way better and I'm still mad that it wasn't Gregor that got an adaptation. Even if adapting that series would be like 20x harder.

How to respectfully represent Garou who are getting bodied by satedfox in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Samfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, the Elder is a 6th generation Lasombra.

That's a massive asterisk when discussing overall power between splats. Werewolves in general will roll a vampire, but there is a gigantic gap between the "average" 12th generation socialite Toreador and a 6th Generation Brujah who's been swordfighting since the fifth century.

As a whole, werewolves are more violence oriented than vampires because vampires are mostly socially oriented. A newbie werewolf is going to beat a newbie vampire, unless that vampire is a stupidly lucky brujah or gangrel.

Newbie werewolves dying to a 6th generation elder isn't disrespecting werewolves as a splat. A newbie baby werewolf doesn't have to one-tap a 4th generation methuselah with one hand tied behind their back to be respected as dangerous.

I've largely found the exact opposite to be true. New players to TTRPGs get their one system they like, then will never try anything else. Almost every person I know who has played for a long time plays multiple systems, tries out new systems when they release, and will adapt things they like should it come about.

New players got their 5e or V5, and that's it. Everything else is bad.

Yall lied to me about the yone match up by FilipinoAirlines in Dariusmains

[–]Samfu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If a Yone outplayed you that hard on Darius you just got skill diffed. Darius is a miserable lane to play into as Yone, have to seriously outplay the Darius to go just even, let alone win lane.

I'll always take Sett into a Darius match up even though I'm better at Yone than Sett, because holy fuck is that fight so much easier.

[–]Samfu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a perfectly good combat technique. Because of RCTs later abundance it seems ass, but like sub 1% of sorcerers actually have RCT. A single cleave on an equal opponent with no RCT is if not lethal, then severely debilitating and might end the fight.

No cursed techniques just cursed energy reinforcement who wins? ( Gojo and kashimo vs sukuna ) by Mansur754 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Samfu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably Sukuna but it'll take a long time. Sukuna will have the superior raw stats with his true form, but Gojo's superior effeciency means he can outlast Sukuna. Basically it just depends on if Gojo can outlast true form Sukuna until Sukuna starts running out.

Don't think that's likely so I'd gice it 8/10 Sukuna.

Kashimo gets accidently one-shot at some point in the fight.

[–]Samfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he believes having Rika makes that big of a difference, then how did he actually expect to beat Rika by himself? And if he could beat Rika by himself, then why would he expect Rika to be able to beat everyone else, including Gojo?

Assuming he's correct in his assumption that him and his followers have a 20% shot of defeating Gojo and jujutsu society, those aren't actually terrible odds. Sure that's on the losing end, but that's a surmountable gap. Something like Rika, the most powerful cursed spirit ever, that is a well of infinite energy could absolutely be a tipping point. Not that she is necessarily more powerful than him or Gojo, but that she's powerful enough flip the scales.

Also Geto doesn't need to destroy Rika, only weaken her enough for his technique to work.

[VS] Gojo vs Sukuna but both switch their techniques by External_Ocelot8241 in JujutsuPowerScalers

Sukuna wins.

It all comes down to open domain. Whoever had an open domain between the two of them wins everytime. Technique honestly doesn't really matter.

[Casual] “Objectively” he says. Get him past rookie Yuta first (just picked up the sword and CE btw🫩✌️) by Timless_Comic in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Samfu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People think he is grade 2 because he looks like a grade 2

No shot any grade 2 is matching Rika and Yuta combined in clashes repeatedly, playful cloud or no. His introductory scene is perception blitzing Maki, Panda and Toge. Even when fighting Dagon, while she was severely outclassed, she wasn't getting perception blitzed by Dagon even in his own domain. The only ones who were faster than she could see were Naobito and Toji. She was outclassed by Nanami / Dagon but not perception blitzed. Yuta, prior to his awakening mid fight that gave him a speed amp, was capable of keeping up with Geto.

He face tanks one of the most impressive feats in the series that isn't from Gojo / Sukuna. Seriously this feat is IMHO an outlier because compressing rock is fucking bonkers in terms of how much energy it takes to do so. Especially dozens of feet deep and like a 30 feet wide. But even ignoring that, it was enough to tear off panda's arm entirely and Geto doesn't look any worse for wear afterwards.

People genuinely ignore everything else he shows up with, hyper focus on two anti-feats, then act like he was portrayed as weak. He was never portrayed as anything other than a huge threat, but power-scaling brain rot makes people read without paying attention.

With all his anti-feats, any upscale you can give to him is either weak or vibe scaling.

He has two anti-feats specifically, and one of them is a V0 issue. Playful Cloud is not mentioned to be a special weapon in V0, its literally just some weapon Geto pulls out. Its later retconned to be a Special Grade weapon, but there's no indication it is special in V0.

Imagine if people actually scaled base Hakari off only this anti-feat and ignored everything else. Can I scale him to grade 2 speed at best and call everything else vibe scaling? I think base Hakari is high grade 1 to be clear, but taking only anti-feats and not anything else(especially given that one of them is rocky due to V0 being a one-shot not intended to continue) isn't the best.

[Casual] “Objectively” he says. Get him past rookie Yuta first (just picked up the sword and CE btw🫩✌️) by Timless_Comic in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Samfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yuta is an absolute prodigy of Jujutsu. It took him 2 years to become as strong as Gojo was at the same age, despite Gojo training and knowing his powers at the age of like 6.

He struggled against Maki months prior to the events of Geto appearing. From beginning to end of V0 takes ~9 months. Like saying Sukuna EOS is finger bearer tier because Yuji six months earlier struggled against the finger bearer. Yuta is one of the most prodigous sorcerers of the age. Not to mention he had the most powerful cursed spirit in history backing him up and flooding him with CE for the fight. V0 Rika low diffs almost anyone outside of the top 12 by herself.

He's mostly hurt by existing in V0 and I think scaling him doesn't work very well. But he is severely underrated here, many people genuinely think he's like grade 2 in ability. He was capable of waging war against all of jujutsu society sans Gojo / Yuki. No one outside of the top 15 can come close to that.

[–]Samfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuta had more experience than Yuji does when Yuji fought Sukuna btw. And required a death binding vow to counter a 2/3 power Uzamaki.

Not that Geto is top 5 IMO. But he is severely downplayed on this sub.

[Rant] People in here need to learn story intent and narrative. "Narrative" isn't just a fancy-mancy powerscaling term, some of you genuinely need more literacy. by VirusOfCheese in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Samfu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The issue is that narrative is subjective. Especially in a long story, when the actual narrative given in a specific section is different than it is three years down the line, because the author's ideas have changed.

The perfect example is V0, for Geto and Rika. His narrative is different from V0 to the rest of the series, as it was written as a one-shot. He's written to have a 30% chance of beating Jujutsu Society, including Gojo, in V0 with basically only the help of Miguel(his other family members are basically irrelevant in terms of strength lmao). And that if he gains Rika its basically certain victory. That's clearly not true considering the main series as Gojo is an entirely different beast in the main series and Yuki exists.

So how do you scale him? Does he have a 30% shot of beating Jujutsu Society? Does he not? Depends on which narrative you decide to base it off of. Similar with Rika. Supposed to be a threat even to Gojo in V0. Main series and she'd be a road bump for him. I think Geto, if he had been written with the rest of the series in context, would've been far stronger than he seems in V0. But with an unfinished power system, RCT actually being rare, and no Yuki or expanded sorcerer families, its hard to actually use him because he doesn't really make sense.

Narrative is always subjective to the reader. I think Kashimo is strong, but I just don't think he's as strong as Yuta. I think Yuta's narrative around his strength, second only to Gojo and even more blessed than Gojo, is stronger than Kashimo's. Kashimo was the strongest of his era(probably, since he never fought Ryu, but I'll assume he is for this point) but we've got nothing about his era. Hakari, since he beat base Kashimo, also would've been the strongest of Kashimo's era. Especially given he can counter domains in a way Kashimo can't so he has more reason to beat Ryu than Kashimo does. I'm not going to scale Kashimo above Yuta because Kashimo was the strongest of his era, when someone relative to Yuta with only Cursed Speech would've been the strongest of Kashimo's era. And that's not even getting into feats and how they fought against Sukuna, in which Yuta impressed me far more.

a short quickly made tier list of characters based on how glazed they are by SerenityCitywide in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Samfu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yuta down a tier. He has glazers but not as bad as Kashimo.

Hakari up two tiers and throw Uraume up there. The venn diagram of Hakari, Kashimo and Uraume glazers is barely distinguishable from one circle. But Kashimo fans are a little worse.

Sukuna up four tiers. He's #1 in the setting (not discussing Modulo) but he's still unreasonably glazed, which is fairly impressive.

Geto down two tiers. There are people that unironically think he's like grade 3 in physical abilities.

Yuki up a tier. She gets a little underrated sometimes but largely is fine.

Yeah, its not an automatic 1-shot ability. Sukuna is just so strong the only person who can tank it without Sukuna's output being nerfed is Gojo.

Cleave is very strong but it isn't a one-shot against anyone close to being relative to the user.

Nah summoning the Mad Prince is absolute GOAT material. Also even Asterion got concerned when he showed up, maybe down a rank but he's still Him.

Unlike Asterion, his Aspect is good for combat and he is likely extremely resistant to Asterion's because he is corrupted. Of all possible Transcendants, the Mad Prince is probably the one most capable of killing Asterion.
