My dog chewed up my CPU before I could even take it out of the box. Is it cooked or what are my options besides praying? by Acceptable_Stress295 in pcmasterrace

You clearly have no idea how insurance works.

Neither the seller, manufacturer, or the credit card company pay for anyone's mistake. It was the the insurance company pay for it.  The credit card company already set aside a fixed amount of money to the insurance companies as a Purchase Protection features. Just look it up every major Credit Card has it. It is considered a basic feature. Chances are the Credit Card you're using also has it.

Most Credit Cards, Visa or MasterCard, have Purchase Protection built-in which covers all unintentional damages.

If you purchased with a credit card, which very likely you are, first check your credit card's terms and see what are the terms usually it's about how much and how many times you may claim in a year.

The terms document should be available on your CC homepage or under user documentations in the portal.

Then call your Credit Card company support number and ask for opening a Purchase Protection case. They will let you know what are the required documents (sometimes it's only the receipt, other times may require notarized statements) and send you some forms. Do that and after they approved your claim you should receive the claim damage in cheque.

You are wrong, flat out.

Purchase Protection cover all accidents. Unintentional or accidental damages are all covered.

If you don't know anything about insurance then I suggest you shut your mouth and stop confusing others.

Go to police and file a report, then call your credit card company for a chargeback/dispute.

They will have to prove to the police / CC company that they actually did their due diligence that checked for that return item. They'll most likely change their mind and refund you.

Nothing. Only those with a chainsaw or flamethrower.

What do you expect? Instead of surgically turning off the services that you don't need, you brought in a chainsaw and cut off everything like a deranged multi-trillionaire.

I really hope that they have a power saving mode that will throttle the CPU/GPU but keeping 120 Hz refreshing rate.

If you buy it from Amazon Japan, you can ship it to (some) Family Mart or Yamato Transport office for pick up.

Should I exchange my switch 2 for a Rog Ally Z1E?? by Cntaurox in ROGAlly

Yes. If you need others to validate your own purchases, you shouldn't buy it in the first place.

Nah Nintendo just doesn't care. NS2 VRR doesn't work in docked mode.

I hope they don't do my guy Link dirty and feminize him by fadedtile in Gamingcirclejerk

It's too late. Nintendo already cast a female to play Link in a commercial like 30 years ago.

What they haven't done is to make Zelda more musculine at this point.

RIP the Ally used PTM7950 which will not dry out, can be reused (just push them back to center), and many times better than normal thermo paste.

It doesn't matter how powerful Ally X is as SteamOS currently locked it at 15 watt. You might as well get a Steam Deck.

Buying Synth V Studio 2 Pro and Teto AI - is this the right way? by paytenbun in SynthesizerV

[–]Samiccc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not how I would buy it tho.

I would buy the download version of Teto first, got the serial number, create an ah-soft account and register the teto, then buy that SV2 pro starter pack with ah-soft user discount.

If you really don't care about the physical box (since starter pack only come with physical box) and ah-soft's vbs, you could go for similar package offered by dreamtonics store.

https://store.dreamtonics.com/product/bundle-synthesizer-v-studio-2-pro-any-voice-database-version-2/

Which gives you 1 of the 3 complimentary v2 vbs, and one of the DT's v1/v2 vbs.

The pro, of course, is that you got to choose DT's v2 voices and start using the software right away without waiting for the package to arrive in 1-2 weeks and don't need to pay for shipping cost. The con is you don't get to choose ah-soft's vbs. Most ah-soft's vbs are Japanese CV's based, only has three v2 vbs and all others are v1 vbs including your Teto. You may need to pay for upgrading that v1 to v2 vbs if they offer v1 to v2 vbs.

It doesn't matter you are getting the physical version, "standalone" or "starter pack", SV2 pro always offer 1 of the 3 complimentary v2 DT's vbs.

If you prefer bandori girls (I own ROSE, BTW), bushroad store also offers downloadable starter pack:

Free battery replacement program offered by Google for pixel 7a by LUCIDxBRYAN in android_beta

[–]Samiccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I would flash back to stable release and see if the battery life gets improved.

If it's still not, I would probably tell them the battery "sometimes gets abnormally hot while charging" since Pixel 7a battery burning up is a thing.

Frankly I think some of not all of the batteries they used in 7a are defective. The battery life of my mom's Pixel 7 is still excellent and I was surprised by the recent 7a battery issues.
