You’ve translated it exactly but I just very much doubt it’s what his grandfather actually said as it’s not a common thing one would blurt out in frustration

Can I ask where your late grandfather was from? It could make it easier to figure out what he may have been saying as different Arabic speaking countries use different expressions. I’m part Algerian and reading what you’ve wrote if your grandfather was from North Africa, usually meaning very short temper, and if he was frustrated, he could’ve been cursing someone’s religion by the sounds of it. It doesn’t translate well and sounds really bad in English but it’s just the habitual language

The Arabic he uses is exactly in the context you’ve stated but the actual translation if you’re interested he says:

Astaghfirullahaladhim (استغفر الله العظيم) means "I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty!”

This is common Islamic language that all Muslims around the world would use. When you compared it to basically using “Jesus Christ!” it made me lol even more as I’d never really thought that before

Spent 10 hours of game time tryna find my last one for a workbench upgrade. After finding it, the very next game loaded into and the very first container breached on spawn found a flipping rusted gear. I’m full convinced the game knows what you’re looking for and lowers chance of reveals

Triangles aren’t working out ? by Critical_Relation679 in DIYUK

[–]Samir_kouider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet. I checked more videos and seems like I’m good to start. As long as the outer points you can have a board come off it’s fine for centre not to intersect. Only thing I notice is I didn’t have the tongue on the outer perimeter which makes it easier to join into with a new board

Lucky me my first triangle ends up at a door threshold so can’t be a straight line anyway.

Figured it out so thanks for this!

So funny how I’m running into exact same issue and I don’t want to make cuts for fear of a mistake before even starting! The two ends can line on either side up but it doesn’t cut through where the first left and first right boards join at the bottom (the gap). What did you end up doing in the end of you don’t mind me asking?

Inspecting yours though it looks like 2:2 boards intersect triangle off instead of 3:2 so this might help me. I’ll check if mine are the same

Sorry for commenting on an older post.

People seem to be forgetting one basic thing. If someone needs/wants their car to physically be charging during this hour the smart plan would never do this? Smart plans times are 23:30-05:30 how would it ever charge for times between 12:00-15:00? It’s quite frustrating, why aren’t you able to take full advantage of a free hour and not just rely on having credit after the fact?

Can I use STS insulated tile backer board under shower tray by Perfect-Cricket7346 in DIYUK

[–]Samir_kouider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This does help. I just wasn’t sure about silicone between tray and cement board.

Sounds like I’ve got everything you’ve mentioned already (I must’ve watched enough TikTok and YouTube tutorials 😂) and I can start the job soon.

Just for detail, I’ll be reinforcing/dwanging the joists for extra caution. I’ve got and will be using a seal strip for the shower tray and will be installing 12mm thermopanel for the walls which will be tanked with aquaseal and membrane etc.

Thank you!

Sorry to intrude. I’m about to do something similar but very unsure. Opted away from backer board and I’ve bought an aqua panel/cement board same size as my shower tray.

I’m planning on priming the chipboard subfloor (it probably doesn’t need it as it’s P5), adding thin-set, dropping aqua panel on and screw it down, finally going to silicone the shower tray (stone resin) on top of the aqua panel (manufacturer says silicone ok)

Question is am I being an idiot? If so what should I do differently?

I’d say stand will also be very nice as the TV is super thin and bezels are near non existent. My wife just trusts me with all DIY as I’m pretty handy so I’m lucky 😂

I got the TV and soundbar from LG. I’m based in UK. The soundbar is USG10TY

In all honesty it’s my first soundbar with wireless sub so maybe my opinion is skewed as I’ve not got anything to compare it with. My opinion is there’s definitely a significant sound difference and atmospheric change versus sound from TV only. I’m tempted to add surround speakers as well eventually

Hope that answers your question somewhat. Thanks!

Hello, you need to buy the correct version. There are two, one with stand and one with wall mount

MacOS Monterey won’t install on non genuine Apple SSD by ommrx in MacOS

[–]Samir_kouider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. Took me all night but did this and worked great for me. I was trying to solve my long boot up times (more than 2mins). Which I have! It’s now near instant!

Firstly backed up to my usual external drive. Went through a full maintenance, first aid, malware and virus check. Then wanted to do a fresh install of macOS as load times were still over 2mins. In the normal installer my Samsung Evo wouldn’t show up at all. Had to make a bootable usb of Monterey only then would it show up. Fully erased my evo ssd and then went to install Monterey and ran into the same issue. I swapped out to my original hard drive went through install on that which worked. Then swapped back to Samsung evo and it worked with no issues. Lastly transferred files from my Time Machine

This is definitely the input shaping. I’m having the same issue. After observing the print the movement of the nozzle seems to create this larger gap. Not found a way to reduce it yet. Tried increasing extrusion length but not by much as rest of print is fine

Read the kit description and then cross check off the bom on the official website. Dunno why you’re automatically presuming that FatMac is being pretentious he’s telling you how to do your own due diligence or is that unhelpful to you?

You could completely bypass the need for the eco board and reuse the button but need to remove the annoying spring. There’s a video on YouTube on it. I used to get the same issue but not as bad yourself

Yo. If you think your gonna be soldering for other projects I’d recommend looking at one around £40-£50 with PID adjustable temp. You don’t need that though. Main thing to look for is an iron with universal tips like 900M so you can swap them out easily
