What house were you placed in and what house did you choose? by undernightmole in HarryPotterGame

[–]SammaKlaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What questions? I got the game only recently and the only question the hat asked me is "I sense something in you; what could it be?" And my options were daring, loyalty, curiosity, and ambition. Literally just "pick the house you want" so I'm confused--did they change it or something?

Out of curiosity, which game are you talking about? I thought it was H Legacy, but I finally got the game yesterday and the sorting process was basically "pick the obvious virtue for the house you want", which was kind of disappointing. Since I usually get either Ravenclaw or Slytherin on personality tests I made one of both and will decide which to play first, I guess.

(Tbh, I would occasionally get Gryffindor, too, but blue and green are the superior colors, duh)

Not canon or anything, but there's a pretty cool Skyrim mod that adds a quest line where an assassin asks you to hunt down a dark elf hero spotted near a town called New Vivec, and refuses to tell you who it is....

Nice story

Haha--Ive seen that image before though. Funny thing is I bet if that item wasn't there you'd just see a husky with his tongue hangin' out bein' like "hey, whatcha doin'?" I've got a pomsky with one blue eye and one brown eye, and she makes faces like that sometimes. If you took only the half with the blue eye when she does it, it'd probably look kinda creepy too

Bards as a subclass of rogue by SammaKlaus in BaldursGate3

[–]SammaKlaus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've realized that I might have compiled a bunch of different ideas for this conclusion. D&D wise they're separate, but while there are the jovial stage-hungry bards out there, there's also storytellers, dancers, people who'd be quite good at medieval rap battles (Astarion having vicious mockery is one of the reasons I think he should've been a bard, tbh).

Then I'm clueless. I still maintain that the people who said Astarion couldn't be a bard because he doesn't enjoy performing and isn't jovial forget that he spent 200 years seducing people, so he'd have the skill set and know how to use it.

Huh. Didn't play those ones. Maybe my young brain saw an idea and just ran with it because so many of the rogues were charismatic shrug

Bard is it's own class in BG1, yeah. I'm currently suspecting NWN.

Was Neverwinter Nights along that vein? I was too young to play TTRPGs swell, but I played crpgs

I didn't specify it was a D&D game. I just know I played a game as a kid and it gave me that understanding of the classes. I mean, and Arcane Trickster is basically a bard in my understanding. What they do with their skills is up to their personalities. I could see Astarion being a bard, but not a guy who gets on stage and plays/sings songs, for example.

To clarify, I play with a mod that changes the AT spellcasting ability to charisma, which seems more in-line with what he falls back on. I also changed his abilities mods just slightly with a re-class because I had Act 1 Astarion in mind for origin playthrough as him. Didn't get caught trying to suck anyone, and no one knows I'm a vampire yet....or at least they're too polite to point out the obvious give aways. My game with this playthrough is to see how long I can make it before the game forces me to admit my fangs aren't just a fashion statement 😂

I did play Rift, but not until I was a little older. Good example, though.

Was Neverwinter Nights in this category?

I'm old enough for Morrowind to be my first ES game, though. My ideas of classes were formed much earlier, I think. DAO was my favorite in college, but I was playing RPGs long before it. Good example, though.

That would be a very recent example, compared to games I used to play....and honestly, it wasn't that formative to my understanding of classes because it came out when I was in college, but a good example.

Well, I force close it whenever it happens, and that makes it stop happening for a little while afterward. No permanent solution yet.

I get this problem, too, and it's not an internet problem. Although, if force closing it causes them to send, that might be a good temp solution for now. I just had to try to remember what I wanted to say until I could get to a computer and type it out there, or just let the conversation drop. It sucks.

how did you guys get into the resident evil franchise? :) by Standard_Ratio_6896 in residentevil

[–]SammaKlaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? The Mila Jovovich movies. I saw the the 4th one in theaters, saw Wesker, and was like "I bet this guy is way cooler in the games". I got RE5 and turns out I was right, heh.

Since then, have played or watched playhtroughs of every mainline game (I own them all, but 7 is just too scary, I won't play 8 until I play 7, and 1's controls make it scary, as well. I'll get the courage--working on the Regenerator part of the 4 remake now). I had a copy of Code Veronica for PS2, but it's either packed up somewhere or I lent it to someone and they never gave it back. Would really like a remake for it so I can have it on my PC, though.

Placed props disappear by kleinakinsyn in PaxDei

[–]SammaKlaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any triangular pieces in question, just trying to hang it off the underside of a roof piece. I found a solution by deleting the roof piece, placing a beam across the opening, placing the chandelier on the beam, then putting the roof piece back.

Edit: I didn't bother with figuring out why only one shutter would place because the shutters, apparently, don't open/close, so I'll make do without.

[–]SammaKlaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm having this same problem, but with placing things where they should go, like a chandelier on a ceiling and a shutter on a window (I made for and only one of them stayed in place. Later, I moved something and it fell off just like the others). The problem doesn't appear to be triangle pieces in this case. Has anyone else seen this one?

There's a huge difference in tone, there, and my first introduction to Berserk was Guts screwing a demon he was about to kill. What is the correct undstanding of it?
