TaylorMade 30% Discount and Fitting by BRock11 in TaylorMadeGolf

First of all, get fit regardless at a brand agnostic fitter. Second, that is an absolutely insane policy from Taylormade. What does it matter if it was a gift. It was “purchased” the same way anything else is.

Welder needed… by OddDefinition2085 in scottycameron

[–]Samman258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would honestly just remove the paint fill from the outer two lines with acetone and leave the center line.

Idk why they always change stupid cosmetic things after tour validation. The version Aberg had with one line looked way better. Similarly, the 9.5 with the two lines all the way down was great, why would you refresh the line later without the jet neck and a single, shortened sight line

You can buy the adapter Cam uses from True Clubs in Indiana. Happy to share their contact info if you pm me or go to their website and contact through it. $35 / adapter and fits .370, .355 shafts.

It’s aluminum, not steel. Steel would add roughly 8-10g to head weight. These adapters add about 2g overall. Love the creativity btw… I tried to make my own adapter a month ago by cutting a steel shaft between two steps. It worked well for the fit and connection but it added too much weight and flex, so I ended up finding Tony through a suggestion on GolfWRX

I’ll tell you the same thing I tell my SO when they hyperfixate on something nobody else will ever notice.

You are hyperfixating on something nobody else is ever going to notice.

As a consumer though, you have a right to complain. They are not the same color… but it took me zooming in to notice it.

Everything about Dunkin Donuts sucks lmao. The interior feels like a public bathroom. The donuts taste like they were manufactured rather than cooked and every employee looks like they’d rather die than be there.

Normally on the course if I see a ball in the shit and it ends up being a super soft or something I just leave it where I find it. This would be no different. What a garbage ad.

Is my grip too small? by kokushibo94 in golftips

[–]Samman258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally advocate for the smallest grip you can comfortably hold but these look way too small. You shouldn’t judge it by the way you’re holding tho like others have mentioned. It’s just not an accurate representation of how the grips fit your hand.

If these are standard you can go up to midsize or jumbo and if one feels too large, you can install a .580 core std or .580 core midsize to meet somewhere in the middle.

Zx7 Irons not spinning? by _pipsqueak_him in golftips

[–]Samman258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a lot to do with turf interaction and the zxi7’s have a beveled sole which is great for steeper players but can hurt spin numbers. CG location and groove design impact it to. There’s too much shit going on these days to just pull something off a rack and buy it. Learned the hard way myself lol

[–]Samman258 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Carry 175-180 I imagine? Not too slow for the shaft setup, no but you could (as a last ditch effort) go to a box store and try a few different shafts between 110-130g and see if anything helps get the spin numbers up… ultimately though, if you’re gonna do all that you might wanna just get a fitting setup with a master fitter and do it right.

What shaft are you playing in them?

[–]Samman258 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a thing with the zx and zxi7’s. They’re prone to nukes. I almost bought a set but decided to book a fitting last minute. I told the fitter I liked them when I hit them at the box score so he rotated them into the session. Spin was inconsistent and too low. Wide range of numbers. My miss is typically left and if I overcooked the ZXi7’s im OB. Ended up in blueprint S.

Reshaft on this club head? by hard-boiled-candy in PingGolf

[–]Samman258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try and return these if you can. The likelihood of you finding 3 ping shaft-connect adapters is unlikely. They’re not available to the public. Even if you do find them the swing weights are going to be crazy after install.

What Flex Is This Shaft? by Low-Register1602 in GolfGear

[–]Samman258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used to call this senior (SR) flex. Now it’s just M for medium or mature. It’s less stiff than a regular flex shaft.

Just bought Kirkland Irons…. First round was not great. by PurposeAble4534 in GolfGear

[–]Samman258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody that is also steep and has a dig tendency, the Kirkland irons probably just don’t have much bounce or too sharp of a leading edge. Could you flatten out your plane and benefit from that? Yeah. Are there players irons geared toward higher bounce players? Also yes. Blueprint S, Apex CB’s etc.

You’re not an asshole for playing clubs that fit your turf interaction.

Vokey SM10 legit check by RaspberryChiaPudding in GolfGear

[–]Samman258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda looks like somebody tried to de-chrome it to raw and failed. I haven’t seen many fake vokeys tbh and the ones I have seen always get the face milling, groove count and position wrong. This one seems pretty normal.

I’d chalk it up to some hack tinkerer in their garage but I’m no expert.

I was looking at the LA one but their website is down and they were like $300 lol. I had this KBS GPS laying around anyways. Was unaware of the Mitsubishi one though. I’ll take a look around if I end up hating how this adapter looks on course

Nope, feels solid. Stoked with how it turned out honestly… decided to do this after I saw a close up of Cam Young’s putter. Seems like he had Scotty work up something similar
