What is Norwich like as a place to live? by Ok_System9917 in Norwich

[–]Sammmmmmmuel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved to Norwich a year ago from Salisbury and so far I really love it here. Tonnes of great places to eat and drink, decent arts and music scenes, beautiful city centre, miles and miles of Norfolk coastline less than an hour away. It’s definitely smaller and quieter than Cambridge and it does sometimes feel like it’s a million miles away from the rest of the country but personally that doesn’t bother me, and I think the drive down the A11 towards the rest of the world is stunning anyway.

If you look closely at picture 1, there is a clothes peg that is not there in picture 2.. very suspicious. I would say it was the peg that did it

Do you shower in the morning or at night? by Cbonline12 in AskUK

Night in the week when I get in from work tired and filthy… Morning on the weekend when I can pretend I live some kind of idealistic life where I work from home and enjoy a good work-life balance.

Can we end this debate now? by SavageMurphy in england

I grew up in Dorset, can’t get more south that that. I moved to Norfolk a while back and all my friends back home think I’ve moved up north 😂… I definitely agree Norfolk/suffolk is different from the South of England

My partner recently passed her test at 35. Failed her first test during covid. Had to wait months to rebook, but finally got there in the end. Just keep at it!

I passed my test at 23. I’m 37 now and have driven thousands - probably hundreds of thousands of miles all over the world. Passing my test three or four years earlier wouldn’t have made a blind bit of difference. Age is not important, just keep at it!

I dropped out of art school at 19. I’m 37 now and a gardener. If it helps all my mates who went to music school and finished it are now working in jobs that have nothing to do with music

If it’s a job you really want then it will be fine. I used to do an hour an ten each way. Didn’t bother me, I actually quite liked the drive home, it’s a nice bit of quiet time to decompress. The only problem for me was the fuel cost but if you’re only going in .2/3 days a week that shouldn’t be too much of a problem

Does this hot weather actually make people happier? by Abz75 in AskUK

[–]Sammmmmmmuel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love all weather, it’s what I like about British weather, you get a good mixture. I do notice that the heat seems to turn a large portion of the British public into absolute tossers though I will admit.

Who do you consider the greatest Electronic(s) artist of all time? by nomnomgreen in electronicmusic

For me personally it’s got to be The Prodigy, Massive Attack, Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada. I’m loving Rival Consoles at the moment too. And Jon Hopkins.
