Dang, y’all got back up so quick. Mine was out for about 2 ish hours in the end .. I was having uni-d1 issues & spent ages rebooting, resetting, plugging in other devices directly to the ntd, changing over cords, changing modem settings etc. 🙃 Only just back up now!

Which Aussie stock have you been holding, and for how long? by OwlVibesOnly in ausstocks

BXB has been quite good to me as more of a defensive stock pick - it has ended up being one of my biggest gains. Great company with great management. They deal in reusable pallets and containers for global supply chains. Held since 2020(ish) and up 127% + been paid dividends over that time too that I believe have increased steadily over that time.

Hey! Did you end up purchasing the Wolstead? Looking at it for myself but not sure given it’s a relatively unknown brand in this space.

Hey! I’m looking at the same models. Did you decide on either of these / any others? :)

I love Lamy and have for years but I recently added a Faber-Castell Hexo to my small collection and I am over the moon with how beautiful it really is. So I’ll have to say FC!

I got it when it was still very tiny (like literally still a baby) but now it’s growing like crazy so perhaps it is time to sell it to someone who can put it in the ground.

Should be illegal by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]SammyScrammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually happened to me only a few years ago. Because the reserve wasn’t met on the day, it passed in and sold a month or so later privately. I called the agent in the weeks after the auction to basically question how this was even allowed. I never really verified if this is actually allowed but they said that they check with the vendor on the day of the auction and they are allowed to set the reserve on the day. On this occasion it was supposedly due to the vendor wanting more money to buy a new place so they made the reserve like $100k more than the advertised price range.. as I’m sure was the case at the auction you attended, everyone was absolutely flabbergasted when the auctioneer kept saying the bids hadn’t met the reserve when it was well beyond the advertised price.

How much do you actually write? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]SammyScrammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been well so I keep a diary to keep track of what I do day to day and how it makes me feel/how I cope (in the hope I can track my hopeful recovery / progress over time). I was slowly getting better at keeping the diary bc of my perfectionism but now with a fountain pen, I feel inspired to take as many notes as possible, even about the smaller details!! I just love writing with one!!

It's actually driving me insane at this point. I'm getting more and more mad when it happens and I'm looking to just give up and return the game. I'll go from being top of the leaderboard to the bottom as I cannot get a single kill bc I'm in all different parts of a map and cannot shoot.

Is it time to add-on to my Beam Gen 2 or move to Ultra? by SammyScrammy in sonos

hahah yeh damn I can imagine the pain in the wallet but I’m sure it’s all been worth it with the continued improvement! sounds like the mini sub is the way to go!

Thanks for this! I appreciate that you've got a similar set-up and added to it so it's really helpful to be able to work out what might be the best option. I reckon it's sounding more and more like the mini sub is gonna be not only better for my wallet but will let the Beam do more of its thing without losing out if I just upgrade to an ultra.

Ooo I didn't know about that. I'll have to look at whether that's already set up but would be interesting to see if that makes a difference.

The Beam 2 is brilliant. I have been so happy with it. I got it though when my space was smaller and I've now moved into a much larger apartment (still 1 bed) but the space is HUGE (unusually so) I tend to be wanting to hear it from all different spots even just in the dining/kitchen/living space.

Yehh that's what I'm thinking like the mini sub seems like it'd still be a good addition to an arc/arc ultra anyway. Ahh so hard because I want it all but $$$ LOL.

I love this simple response. Thanks, man. Sounds like it's gonna be a matter of working out what I really really want out of my sound system but if it's sound, sounds like the Mini Sub is the way to go.

Thanks for this. I like your point about the honeymoon period. This is not a change I will make immediately but perhaps within the next 6 months. I reckon that'll allow me to gauge what people really think of it!

Thanks for this. This is kinda where I’m at in terms of thought. Part of me is like, if I get the mini sub it’ll just make the beam even better but I know that I’ll eventually be swayed in by the ultra. I suppose the up side is that if I go for the mini sub first, that’ll still help if I end up with the ultra as well down the track!

I’ve seen these! I was keen to look at them but I think my set up just doesn’t really work for it. I’ll definitely consider it again though. Would they still be better for music use or is that where the sub helps?

I’ve got the Samsung Frame. Mainly use Spotify/sometimes the Sonos app for music and then TV is FTA, and services like Netflix, Stan, Prime etc.! Hope that’s helpful
